As many of you may know by now some time ago Steam added a way to activate game keys via a web browser by using the form in the following link:

https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey


For some strange reason, there is no direct shortcut to that form in the web version of the Steam (unless you are using the Augmented Steam[augmentedsteam.com] extension). Same for the Steam Mobile App. That means that, in order to activate a game key while on your phone, you must log into your account using a web browser and use the link to the form there.

Still, I noticed that the link to the form can be loaded by the mobile app itself even if there is not a direct shortcut to it in the app menus. So, you can go ahead and create that shortcut yourself in a way it is easily accesible:

• You can add a link to the form to the text in the Description Field of your Steam profile:

• You can do the same thing using the text in the optional Custom Info Showcase:

The result will be something like this:



That way, whenever you want to activate a game key while on your phone you can tap your avatar in the main menu of the Steam Mobile App to go to your Steam profile. Once there, just tap the link in the description field of your profile to access the key registering form:



No need to log into your account in the web browser of the phone or wait until you are back home to use the Steam client.
