Purchasing this DLC will greatly increase your chances of becoming Ash Williams, as you will have the character called Ash (a subtle reference to the character in Evil Dead, Ashleigh Walliams) after purchasing this DLC.

Ashley also comes with the perk Mettle of Man, a vital perk in the search for being obsession.

You also get access to a very special perk, giving you the godsend power of having the equivalent of 4 obsession perks in one handy package, saving you room for more perks.

Speaking of which, here's that perk.



"Mettle of Man"

Evil has a way of always finding you.

After getting hit 3 times by a Killer's basic attack, Mettle of Man activates.

Once activated, the next occasion that would put you into the Dying State IconHelp dying.png from the Injured State IconHelp injured.png is ignored.

The next time you heal back to full health, your Aura will be revealed to the Killer when you are farther than 12/14/16 metres from the Killer.

Mettle of Man will deactivate the next time you are put into the Dying State.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

Found on almost every Ash main in existence, and overly insecure Laurie Strodes, Mettle of Man is a special perk found from the Evil Dead DLC.

What most Ash and Laurie mains wish for in this perk is the extra little hit you can take from a killer without being healed, bamboozling your killer into a false sense of stupidity.

However, this is not what we want from the perk, what we want is that sick Obsession Clout we strive for. This perk has the innate ability to steal any obsession from a full Obsession Laurie, minus when she steals it straight from you with her DS Lite.

Using this perk is vital to creating your ultimate obsession possession build, so slap that on and you're good to go.

Your second option for Obsession Possession is the Halloween Edition of Dead By Daylight, as you'll have access to Laurie Strode, and her obsession-related perk set. You'll also have access to Michael Myers from Austin Powers, but this is not important as this is a horror game, not a comedy.

Using Laurie Strode you can also gain access to the following abilities:

• Partially doing generators and never finishing them.
  
• 99% an exit gate.
  
• Make Samuel "Loop"is have an appearance.
  
• Make your team wish you were dead.
  
• DC when Ash steals your obsession status.
  
• Be insecure.

With Michelle O' the Mire, you can also get the following abilities:

• Asthma attacks.
  
• Remember how latex masks smell.
  
• Stand still and breathe heavily.
  
• Go from invisible to map terror in 30 seconds.
  
• Be tall and handsome.
  
• Be insecure.

Playing Laurie Strode is one of the easiest ways to get Obsession before a game even starts, unless an Ash appears on your team. Using your variety of three whole perks, you can easily nab an obsession off those Ash-holes anyway.

Sole Survivor
As more of your friends fall to the Killer, you become shrouded in isolation and the Killer's Aura-reading abilities towards you are disrupted.

Your Aura cannot be read by the Killer within a maximum range of 20/22/24 metres for each killed or sacrificed Survivor.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Object of Obsession

A supernatural bond links you to the Killer.

If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other.

This effect applies only if you are outside of the Killer's Terror Radius.

As the Killer's Obsession, this effect applies to a maximum range of 56/64/72 metres. Otherwise, it applies to a maximum range of 44/56/64 metres.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Decisive Strike

Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds.

While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun the Killer for 5 seconds.

- Succeeding or failing the Skill Check will disable Decisive Strike.
- Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Once you have made yourself aware of these perks, equip them (alongside a teachable version of MoM, if you have it.) to greatly increase your obsession chance.

But you can't just stop at being obsession, you must go beyond your more dire BM desires and be the definition of Hex: Ruin, by using some handy tips that will get you ruining your team experience in no time.



Crouch walking around the map, although stealthy, can really get on your team's nerves and make you target number one for the killer, in this case for your ruining needs, this is good.

Remember to complain when caught or called out by your team.


Partially doing gens is the easiest way to ruin teams, as you never finish them. This will considerably slow down games, and if you're team is being chased by some creepy stalker, it's probably going to get you banned.


Self Explanatory, just camp hatch until your friends die.


Chances are, your team is trying to fix those gens you haven't finished and are really mad at you currently, so just bring the killer to them. This will work as an offering to the killer, guaranteeing you hatch for the next hour or so.

That should be it, just hop into a game and get obsession and hooked within five minutes guaranteed, or your grits back.

You're probably wondering what the advantage of all of this is, and I don't know really.
