It always seems stupid to me to judge those in the past by modern standards, regardless of your political standings. I have little doubt that when we are long gone, many of our descendants will also look upon us as ignorant and ignoble creatures and cast trite and shallow labels on our deeds and character.

Racist or not, the man's work was well ahead of his time. We are all so quick to judge a man for his views but are equally quick to disregard his works. The fact is he is arguably one of the most influential authors of the 20th century. As Marcus Aurelius once said: A man's worth is no greater as his ambitions. Now you can all try to shame this guy from beyond the grave, but regardless of your leftist crusade, his legacy as an author of great worth will continue.

tl:dr Arguably best horror author of 20th century, get mad libbies.

Toward the end of his life, though he remained fairly xenophobic, HPL actually renounced most of his racism. All of it was backed in the science of the time, but as eugenics was proven false time and time again, he started to see the Light. Also, he had a pretty abusive childhood with some pretty awful parential figures and was later married to a Jew. Good drawing OP.
