Introduction
This guide is assuming you already know how to edit players dinos via the database, there are other guides for that. This guide is specifically to explain how to read and edit players skin colors using the colors correlating number.

Please note that you are not able to assign a color that is normally unavailable to that dinosaur/color region. If you try, the color will revert back to the default value.
How to Read
We’ll only be looking at the last little bit of the player data, basically, all the sections labeled “SkinPalette….”

Color Regions
Starting from the top “SkinPaletteSection1” to “SkinPaletteSection5” is straight forward, these are the color regions you select in-game in order you’d see them Crest, Underbelly, Body 1, Body 2, Body 3

SkinPaletteSection1 = Detail/Crest
SkinPaletteSection2 = Underbelly
SkinPaletteSection3 = Body 1
SkinPaletteSection4 = Body 2
SkinPaletteSection5 = Body 3

SkinPaletteSection6
“SkinPaletteSection6” can be ignored. This section is always a value of 0 or 254 but I can’t find any pattern on which dinos are which. For 0 you have Rex, Giga, and Cerato, while every other survival dino it’s 254. Though, this section should already be correct if you are editing a skin.

I'm not yet sure what this does/will effect in game.

Variation
The last section should be obvious “SkinPaletteVariation” is the variation level.

0.0 = Off/No Variation
8.0 = Small Variation
6.0 = Medium Variation
4.0 = Large Variation
Regional Colors
Here's basically the color options you should have per region for carnivores and herbivores respectively. A lot of colors are only available as the default skin and can not be used on any other region or dino chosen manually. Some colors are also exceptions to these lists such as the color oddly named "Carno Crest Lime" which only appears on Dilo. Layout of color is how they appear in game.

Numerical Order Color List (0-59)
Each color has a correlating number in the database going through 0 to 80. I tried to format the list in a way that would be more space efficient instead of a single 80 lined list. So in case for any reason there is any confusion expect the first number in the header to match the first color below and go in that order. So using the first line as an example
0 = Allo 1
1 = Allo 2
2 = Allo 3
3 = Allo 4
4 = Allo 5

Sorry this is very much a late response.

When I was testing everything for the guide as far as I could find the game wouldn't allow players to assign colors not normally available to that dino to any color region as it would default to their basic colors instead.

But the server we tested it on was hosted using Ping Perfect and so I am unsure if using other server hosting services or private hosted servers might change those results, as, I know some servers have bots and websites interacting with databases on non ping-perfect servers.

I would fiddle around to see if I could help figure it out but the only server I have access to database on currently is running on EVRIMA not legacy.

Recently I saw a cerato with the old Rex 1 crest and body. I figured out the crest by changing the value to 10, but I have no idea how they made their body orange. Any idea? Here it is

Well I think carnivore red scale was removed because it was a bug that allowed it as those kind of colors are only for crests for male identification purposes. Because it wasn't able to be used on the body and then was after I think the giga was re-released and leaked down from giga specifically (as it also had some of the herbi crest colors which it shouldn't have).

As for Giga 5 (and Carno 5) it was to prevent people from having solid black dinos, albinos cant be solid white either, albino players (like myself) have to use a tan marking on body 3 and the crest (if male) to make it look "albino". Though I wouldn't consider albino flashy and they have always been in the game except when we had 0 skin options besides default male/female so idk why they would need removed.

I do wish we could use some of the species only colors more freely that we don't have access to rn though because that would help it feel more varied.

I just wish that we could (once again) use the Giga 5 and the Carnivore Scale Red on the other body regions. Sad that the reasons for their removal from all body areas doesn't apply to the just-as-flashy albino/orange dinos.
