Info
Faceit is a platform designed for competitive play in various games, including Dirty Bomb.

To join, all you have to do is to register an account on Faceit (https://www.faceit.com/en/signup), connect it to your Steam account and join the Dirty Bomb hub. Press play to join the queue.

Once enough players are in the queue the prematch phase begins. First of all, a captain for each team is selected who then picks their players. Then they decide which map will be played. After that, you have five minutes to load into the game. Once everyone has loaded in the two captains proceed to ban any four mercs they want to get rid of (two for each team, so four in total) and then you get to pick your main merc. Your captain will then select the sub mercs, the other two mercs in your roster. Note that the sub mercs are identical for everyone in your team, and you can not select a loadout card for them.

Some things to keep in mind:

- Friendly fire is enabled.

- It's 5 vs 5 on stopwatch mode.

- To ensure a fair environment, all mercs are unlocked, free to be chosen even if you haven't purchased them yet. That said, if you haven't bought the merc you've selected yet you might be forced to play their default loadout card.

- If you can't get a match right away, try again during the evening (eu time). Most players are queueing then.

- Unlike public games you can not stack the same merc multiple times.

- All games are played on EU servers. If you are located elsewhere you are free to join nonetheless, but the experience might not be ideal.

- If you crash within the first three minutes of a game feel free to hit us up and we'll restart the match. The rejoin button that shows up when you start the game anew does not function.

- You can only queue solo, but chances are high your friend(s) will be in the same match.

If you encounter an issue make sure to message us on Discord. We do not receive proper notifications on Faceit, so pinging us on Discord is the only reliable way we can help you quickly.

Each match you play influences your skill level (used to balance matches) and your position on the leaderboard. If you placed high enough you will be awarded Faceit points soon after the end of a season/event. These points can be exchanged for all sorts of goodies, universally on the entire platform. Check the leaderboard to see which place earns you how many points. Here's the link to their store:

Make sure to read the rules section, Faceit's terms & conditions and their general banning policy:

In short, if you use common sense you'll be fine.

Good solid intro.

Please ensure to remember that this is a competitive environment. If you're not used to 5 v 5 matches ask others on your team or in the FaceIt chat for help with what to do. Have fun, ask questions, take guidance when it is given.
