It was a few months ago but this popped up for some reason so I figured I'd post the 20-cycle I eventually found. Knowing how that kind of thing goes it was probably just after I complained about not being able to do it. https://imgur.com/pr1ikZ7

@mahashma: Try picking a new piece after every 60 degrees instead of 180, or at worst every 120 degrees.

Also got a 21 cycle solution but it didn't do anything clever and I couldn't get the 20 cycle solution I really (really) wanted.
