WHY MID? While Dazzle is competent in a lane support role and in fact can excel with heroes like Naga and Shadow Demon, he's quite level dependent and has an excellent autoattack, so it's no surprise that in pubs he can do quite well in a solo mid role.

WHEN TO PICK? Dazzle will destroy most melee mids, especially ones with fairly low starting armor. He can also draw or win lanes against ranged, especially heroes with mediocre animations or attack range. He annoys heroes that rely on high Magic Resistance since both of his damage spells deal Physical, and interacts extremely well with -Armor effects for the same reason.

WHAT TO TEAM UP WITH? Broodmother, Shadow Demon, PL, Meepo all provide buddies for you to heal. Naga provides buddies for you to heal AND an ult that interacts shockingly well with your ult. Juggernaut, Lifestealer, and Huskar can be emboldened to absolutely crush their opposition with your help (Shallow Grave and Shadow Wave can both be cast on magic immune targets).

WHO TO FEAR? Axe will be picked to Culling Blade your Shallow Grave target. QOP, Puck, Skywrath can outlane you and two of them bring extremely painful silences to the table.

HOW TO WIN? Set up unfavourable trades and dives with Shallow Grave and your high damage over time, then convert an early advantage into a midgame win by pushing with Shadow Wave, Weave, and your team.
