Sensor Fences

Beskrivning
ADVENT holographic fences now light up the environment and traversing them breaks concealment.

This has just been tested with WOTC but I'm not sure if there's a reason it wouldn't work with Vanilla as well. Replaces the ADVENT "FenceCap" blueprints and AdventCheckpoint.upk, so if there were any mods that also do that it'd probably conflict with those. This is the first mod I've uploaded to the workshop so if there are any problems forgive me!

WARNING: Rescue Operative From ADVENT Compound missions after Chosen kidnappings will become more difficult, as the compounds are surrounded by these fences with little to no clear entrances. Be careful, and have fun!

"Turns out the ADVENT Coalition's manufacturing and logistics department realised that while blowing the majority of the budget on holographic security fences looks cool as hell, they don't actually inhibit entry in any way. Luckily, some bright spark realised that they could bump up the holographic projectors and use interference data to trigger basic intruder alarms at a fraction of the cost. So, the new fences still won't prohibit subversive elements from accessing vital ADVENT installations, but at least our friendly peacekeeping forces will be notified to greet them if and when they do."

The issue only happens if you destroy a sensor fence by an AoE attack, such as a grenade, rend-wave, harbour wave.. etc
You will crash at mission extraction/end due to the fences "broken window gibblets" needing to be cleaned up by the garbage-collection script.. but as the fence isn't a window and didn't create gibblets when it broke the GC can't find them, and the game crashes as it gets stuck in a loop "clean giblets > giblets not found > clean giblets > giblets not found"

You can resolve the issue by either not destroying fences by AoE.. or prior to extraction, save and load the game. The reload creates the fence as 'already destroyed' thus no giblets are 'pending/listed' for the GC to collect ....

warning do not subscribe to this mod, it will cause your game to crash constantly at advent facilities. It will make missions uncompletable too, as it crashes at mission end as well.

Some issue with this and garbage collection.
Any chance the mod can get a 2024 fix ?

Is there perhaps a version of the mod with just the graphical glow effect of the fences?

Not too sure if someone said this already but, this mod causes mission endings to crash when it regards to advent facilities tied to the avatar project.

There should be a hacker ability/class that let's you disable the sensors for a single turn.
That should mix things up a bit :3
