mmm, what is the white line in the chronometer, my own angle?. I guess its not the ships course, but from my perspective. I want to calculate it manually, on the map to learn how it works.

and the angle aspect, knowing which is bow and stern also helped

i was clunky at it and getting the distance right with the shadow really helped as i thought you had to match it instead of putting it on top, this really helped. Good work
