Lancer Mk.II (L-02-01-V)

Beskrivning
History:
The Lancer programme was devised by Larson Engineering in an effort to provide a small single-seater craft that could be stored in the standard hangars on-board Xebon Navy vessels, and was capable of SSTO flight. This meant designing a versatile craft that was at the same time fairly small and compact.

In order to do so, Larson Engineering worked in collaboration with Aragath Industries, the company behind the famous SSTO fighter, the Cursor.

By using the Cursor's general spaceframe as a starting point, Larson Engineering was able to construct a SSTO fighter that was small and light.

Unlike Aragath's Cursor, which mounted an AI controlled turret, the Lancer favoured a reloadable rocket launcher, making the Lancer more effective at anti-ship and anti-structure missions.

The Lancer forgoes a turret so that it fits inside the smaller fighter hangars of my ships. But yeah absolutely possible to take off the launcher and fit a turret in its place.

I do need to go back and make some slight changes to the external frame to prevent that catastrophic failure you mention.

by cargo container i meant that rocket launcher which is itself connected to a cargo container*

missed opportunity to not slap a missile turret or gatling turret on that cargo container in the back
otherwise, there's several weak points, one along the spine of the craft that could be shot and the entire back section would detach if not for the large atmospheric thrusters
except for these couple of things it's a great redesign of aragath's cursor, but i think if i use this i'll definitely be making my own modifications suck as that turret on the back and a little bit of uparmoring on that egregious weak point

Thanks a lot glad you like it :) The rib is a feature I like using on my ships to cover up and armour more exposed sections whilst adding a bit of depth to the silhouette.

Looks amazing! The rib design on the hydrogen tank is ingenious! Great choice of colors too! 10/10 Overall! Kudos!
