All Creatures: Part 2 - Era of Prodigious Life
By valareos
This part assumes that Part 1 has been completed and all previous creatures have been discovered. This will prove harder than Part 1, but can be completed rather quickly.

Introduction
This episode is about getting the first dinosaur. It has a lot of different evolutions that happen across species, so is not as straight forward as the previous episode was.

This is Part 2 of a 4 part series that aims to get all creatures in the game. The methods have been written and tested to get all organisms before the time limit. It has been further split into groups based on temperature.

One thing to remember, the only item you can NOT use is the evolution seed. To complete the tree quickly, Mutation seeds will need to be used. There is also a lot of overlap, so do not worry if you get some organisms out of order.
Pachynorthis, Andreolepsis, Prototaxites, Leprototaxites, Sciadophyton, Horneophyton, and Codium fragile
Upland Rivers, 30 Degrees
  • 11 - Pachynorthis
  • 16 - Andreolepsis
  • 18 - Prototaxites
    • 19 - Leprototaxites
  • 20 - Sciadophyton
    • 23 - Horneophyton
  • 25 - Codium Fragile

You need rivers for this chapter, both in highland and upland areas. Choosing a corner of the map to be your high point will allow you to get a decent height, while giving room for organisms to grow. Aim for a Upland around 12T, and dropping 2T every drop, with each level at least 5 squares wide. There is not a lot of room to make a large based mountain here, so this will give you the height needed, along with growth areas at different tiers. When you put your river on top, create it as a 3 square wide river down the mountain. This will give enough upland rivers for the episode.

You also should press V to go to view mode. There are 4 power ups you can get easier in that mode. One is in the lava in the center of the cube, a second is on same level of the lava in one of the corners, and other two are in two other corners higher up.

Once your upland mountain range is done, expand your water as needed to get to 30 degrees.

As soon as you have a mutation seed, use it on Dinorthis from Part 1. It will mutate into Pachynorthis.

When Sciadophyton and Horneophyton are born, use a mutation seed on them to get their mutation. Remember to run time with 'x' instead of 'c' so you can claim them in case they go immediately extinct.

You may find some other creatures being born as the temperature drops. Grab them, as long as it isn't the Eoraptor. It will save you time later in the episode.
Explosion of Life
Highland Rivers, Deep Seas, 29 Degrees
  • 22 - Blue Grama
    • 34 - Bouteloua
  • 24 - Autumn Fern
  • 27 - Lepidodendron
  • 28 - Myriopteris
  • 29 - Calamites
  • 30 - Psilophyton
    • 31 - Aglaophyton
    • 32 - Ibikaphyton
    • 33 - Trimerophyte
  • 42- Heliophyllum
    • 43 - Phillipsastrae
  • 44 - Phacops
    • 45 - Phacoptitan
  • 46 - Coelacanthus
    • 47 - Accoelacath
    • 48 - Dipterus
  • 49 - Ichthyostega
    • 50 - Ichthyomimus
  • 51 - Anthracomedusa
    • 52 - Spinomedusa
  • 53 - A. Borealis
  • 54 - Pleophacops

A lot of life will form in this section, as well as a few mutations. Some of these you may already have by this point. As we did with the Uplands, we need highlands with rivers. On the other corner, make a height of 21T, then drop by 3T until you get to ground. Then make a 3 square wide river flowing down the entire length. After that, add land/seas as needed to get to 29 degrees.

You need to spend the time here getting Coelacanthus up in numbers. This means building up shallows, seas and deep seas to get a large number of this fish, preferably around 250-300k or more. Later on, there is a fish that is extremely hard to get without those numbers. You need WIDE deep seas, at least 20 square by 20 squares at -11T on the edge of the map Do one square step ups to -7T, then make a nice 5x5 around the deep sea . Single step up to -2, and do another 5x5 surrounding the -7T area.

Phacoptitan, Ibikaphyton, and Bouteloua may need to be created via mutation seed, given their very low birth temperature.

Ichthyostega may prove to be difficult to spawn. If it is, go ahead and raise the temperature up to 30 slowly. Though it should spawn at 28 degrees, 30 is its average.

Meganeura, Velokeura, Aruneura, Marineura, Dimetrodon, Trimetrodon, and Sphenacodon
27 Degrees
  • 55 - Meganeura
    • 56 - Velokeura
    • 57 - Aruneura
    • 58 - Marineura
  • 70 - Dimetrodon
    • 71 - Trimetrodon
    • 72 - Sphenacodon

Again, some of these will have already spawned for you. If they haven't, lower your temperature to 27 degrees. Wait for the mutations, or use mutation seeds to finish them off.
Flight of the Butterflies
19 degrees
  • 35 - Red Fern
  • 36 - Gigantopterid
  • 37 - Bellflower
  • 41 - Conifer
  • 59 - Waagenophyllum
    • 60 - Parawentzelella
  • 61 - Ditomopytonia
  • 62 - Primal Butterfly
    • 63 - Proto Butterfly
    • 64 - Marsh Butterfly
    • 65 - Marine Butterfly
  • 66 - Acanthodes
    • 67 - Megacanthodes
  • 68 - Diplocaulus
    • 69 - Diceratocaulus

Before you do anything else, check your Coelacanthus numbers! if it is below 200-250k, you NEED to increase the numbers! You need WIDE deep seas, at least 20 square by 20 squares. You can let the temperature rise so the deep sea is 30, but no higher. Once you get them at a decent number, you can drop the temperature. If the population does not seem to move, use a water of extinction on them and then let them be reborn.

Bring the temperature down to 19 degrees. This will be the coldest we will need to get in this chapter. When it hits 19, let it run for a bit to get all the free creatures you can, then work on the mutations as needed.

Acanthodes is a hard one in this group, requiring about 150-200k Coelacanthus.

Remember, a water of life or vigorous vegetation may be what you need to force some of the organisms to spawn.
The Dawn of Dinosaurs
23 degrees
  • 26 - Callunopteris

40 degrees
  • 17 - Climatus
  • 38 - Rhyniamaia
  • 39 - Stegophyton
  • 83 - Eoraptor
    • 84 - Parcheoraptor

We now can warm up the planet again. You probably created a LOT of mountainous areas to get the temperature down, and now is a good time to begin to level out some of those areas. You still need to keep your Highland and Upland areas, just flatten things around it to increase temperature and get some nice areas for things to grow. Alternately, if you have enough time from getting this far, you can put a Chill stone on the top of your Highland area to get a nice snow cover, which will trigger global warming power ups to form, which you can use to assist in getting your heat up.

Hopefully as you are heating up, Callunopteris will be born for you. If not, hold at 23 degrees until it shows up.

Eoraptor will show up in this section, so be careful! You should use a mutation seed on him as soon as he appears, and collect his mutation. After that, leave him alone or it will end the episode!
A Hot World
43 Degrees
  • 21 - Pteridium
  • 40 - Barilepidendron
  • 73 - Monorthis
  • 74 - Ceratite
  • 76 - Parasuchus
    • 77 - Mastodonsaurus
  • 78 - Odontochelys
    • 79 - Proganochelys
  • 80 - Diphydon
  • 85 - Eudimorphodon
    • 86 - Catomorphodon

Most of these you hopefully were able to get while rising the temperature up in the previous section. What you have not got will require you to raise the temperature more up to 43 degrees. These should be easy to get once you get the temperature up.

Barilepidedron will be the hardest to get. You need to make sure that Lepidendron is about 100k. Easiest way is to find where they are growing, and make a large plateau at that level around them, then place a Warmth Stone on one of your mountainsides away from that point where the land temperature is 35 degrees.
The Mammals
38 degrees
  • 75 - Paramesotriton
  • 81 - Adelobasileus
    • 82 - Raptobasileus

Given the heights of your mountains, you may already have completed this. If not, cool your land to 38 degrees, and just wait! Once you have completed these, collect your Eoraptor.

Congratulations! You have completed this episode!

I will be doing a part 3 and 4, I however ended up getting busy and lost the documents I had. The part 3 and 4 are still on my todo list though!
