Some clarification , 1st Fatality is already unlocked for every char but 2nd one is locked (can only be unlocked by the crypt)
BUT you dont have to unlock 2nd ones to perform them , simply doing the input at the right distance will trigger it.

Mercy is a mechanic that was first introduced to MK 3 , was removed on later mks and now its back !! (thanks to Mr. Bright for mentioning) !
It gives the option to the winning player , to spare his opponent at the fatality screen and instead of finishing him/her off , return him/her to continue playing with ~10% hp.
The input is universal for all characters!!

TO DO/GIVE MERCY :

While at the fatality prompt part of the match , stand at mid distance away from the opponent ,
hold down the Left Bumper (L2 for Playstation , LT for Xbox users) while holding it
pressing Down 3 times (or a few more) and releasing the bumper.
If done correctly , you ll manage giving mercy to your opponent and have the fight continue for a bit longer !!
