Finding the Image.

Find an image you'd like to have as a spray..

Change the Image.

Go to Microsoft Paint, click "Resize" uncheck "Maintain Aspect Ratio"
Click the "Pixel" tab and change the horizontal and vertical values to 256.

Save the Image

Click "Save As"
Change file to a .bmp
Save the image in the following folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\materials\vgui\logos\UI

Did it Work?

Open Left 4 Dead and go to Options - Multiplayer - Import Spray
Find C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\materials\vgui\logos\UI and click your image.

If done correctly, it should look like this.
