How to check progress
This achievement used to require you to have one mountain live for 987 hours.

This is no longer the case. Now you must have mountains live for a total of 987 hours SINCE the upgrade. But that calculation is dodgy and frustrating. So I figured out how the game measures how close you are, and made a tool to let you see how close/far you are.

.exe for windows is under 'releases', and may give you some scary warnings, but its safe. The source code is RIGHT THERE if you wanna see what its doing / run the python directly instead.

Man that sucks. I have almost 1100 hours on Mountain but apparently they were mostly before this patch and now only have credit for 227 of them towards this achievement. My mountain has been around so much longer than that

ok cool I tried the comet command and it destroyed my mountain and since then its been counting my hours again, yikes, should of peeped this guide earlier

Doesn't matter - mountain just needs to die and get you a new one.

when you say kill to reset the counter if its stuck, do you mean kill it with an asteroid, or reset the mountain using the code command?

Yes, thank you. I destroyed the mountain and made another one. Now it is gaining hours again in the checker.

@Sheep Livingston Applesauce Kill it then restart and check later, you can replace with your old mountain but that doesn't matter iirc it's overall

Nope, game only autosaves. This is why I made this tool - so you can see when its stuck and give it a kick.

says 40 hours, i run the game for 8 hours, then it says 42 hours. Very frustrating. Am I closing the game in a wrong way? Is there a way to save before I quit the application?

@Ceceli Δ It's pretty straightforward, just make sure to check on the timer once in a while so it's not lost idling in the void
