Ace Combat assault Horizon disappointed me to no end, and Bioshock Infinite left so much to be desired when compared to not only what they showed us, but what the previous Bio/Systemshock titles achieved on their days.
...and man this has gone for too long, even though I enjoyed writing and it was good, to go through some fond memories; Have fun!
...and I've been a fan since day one, and loved all them main titles to bits.
We got to witness some spectacular Deus Ex material get back into action, and not only was it glorious, it was all I could have asked for.
Duke Nukem Forever's incompetente, troubled and sad development cycle came to and end, and the the king got to flex his ego once more; Many hated it, others didn't bother, and some enjoyed the ride.
I personally loved it in certain ways, and fancied the opportunity to not only own a piece of gaming history but the opportunity to apresceiate what bits and pieces were left from its decade and a half backing time... What influences such a timeline can have in a game and the corners that had to be cut to bring an engine that was never meant to run on console hardware, onto the then, aging 360/PS3 interactive systems.
...surprisingly, the game was very well optimized as far as I can remember!
Although, it wasn't the one to steal Crysis 1's crown, but man was it impressive in its own right.
...all in all, it was a cool year in gaming, the second Crysis was released and inferior when compared to the original, but I'd be lying if I was to say I didn't get a kick out of it.
