Very nice mod. This is just sound replacement. You cant be better because you can hear much further. The range of sound is the same.

It doesn't change range of sound propagation, so you can't hear farther, but on the same distance, i think, you can just only clearer hear enemy

With how loud EFT footsteps are this is probably cheating.
