Appreciate your value, and the squad will value you.
A Squad Leader's bane is biting off more than they can chew, even experienced SL's struggle with this.
Learn to value yourself, and the role you play to your team. You cannot be an effective SL if you're dead.
Prioritise your current actions, before trying to update, coordinate, and direct commands.
IE.(Returning fire and move for cover, before update of contact specific info and plotting on map, communicating with other SL's and even the rest of your squad.)
If you are driving focus on driving, if you are moving focus on moving.
Learn to delegate your tasks to another squad member, while you maintain map awareness.
Stop and take cover to update information and do not to let your squad mates or situation force you to multitask. You can't be an effective shooter with your map up.

If it's bad for you, it jeopardises the squad.

Communication is key, however, and even though information may overwhelm and bombard you, it is best to have too much than too little. Inspire your group to give clear and concise updates, to minimise the amount of secondary effort needed in sorting through info to prioritise. This will help you be the most efficient under pressure. You have afforded yourself this time to update and direct everyone, so do it to the best of your ability.
A Squad Leaders Attitude
I am incredibly grateful to everyone that has helped mould me into the SL I am today.

Having a group that matches the respect I give them, with the support of brothers willing to run into the ♥♥♥♥, results in excellent matches with all public players united. A supportive squad, one that informs decisively with respect to proper avenues of comms, is attentive/aware to the fireteam(s), makes for an atmosphere where the SL will be able to excel most, and in turn the group will excel.

Learn to brief your squad before going into battle on what your expectations are of them, and keep it short and sweet. This will save you a hassle down the road and will maintain everyone to a certain guideline.

Time and time again, being selfless is a forgone value. Volunteer to do the back cap. As an SL please volunteer to do it with your group, and if no one in your squad volunteers-then assign them duties. Just because your boys aren't selfless doesn't mean you can't step up and be that person the team requires.

Everyone loves helping, if you are overwhelmed ask your group for help. Everyone enjoys having a purpose, and most people love helping.

1. Delegate Driving SL's!
2. Don't bark commands, be open to suggestions from your squad.
3. Drop Rally marks
4. Lead from the front
5. If people wont volunteer, direct a person to do the job.
6. Look for input from your squadmates
7. KNOW WHO YOUR LATS AND HATS ARE.

This is the single guide I wish every Squad-player read. Very good written and very good points here.
