There are programs for convenient drawing patterns (for example, Pattern Maker), and you can add details like backstich, french knots and others.
Oh, and Reddit is a huge source of cross-stitching inspiration, there are amazing works there.

Oh, awesome. I just took a skim through. Lots of nice work in there. Love the Fez one, the detail you included like the little mouse. I wish I could read Russian. I used to do cross-stitch as a child, and this is inspiration for me to take it up again, if I can think of the right game to use for the pattern. Maybe Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight. Or Finding Teddy 2!

Спасибо, Максим! Да уж, мне нравятся специфические игры, а для схемы годятся только пиксельные, в результате на игольницы попадает то, что по вкусу далеко не всем.

Сделано конечно по высшему классу, но сюжет... Всё равно очень симпатично, молодец!
