(This is an unfinished piece, it is a simple rough sketch to see if I was capable of attempting this - Some areas are rushed, and a lot of mistakes were made that I didn't fix)
The color might seem a little off in the image, this is because I had to edit the brightness to be darker, as the scanner made the graphite too hard to see.

I've had the itch for quite a while, but I was just too afraid to try doing Nekopara art, so I was putting it off. Until I finally decided to give it a whirl, after gaining a little motivation.

This is my sketch attempt of my favorite character from Nekopara, Vanilla. She is a soft, kind, and slightly perverted catgirl. The reason I never wanted to attempt a Nekopara drawing, is because Sayori's (The artist for Nekopara) artstyle is just too detailed compared to anything else Anime I've tried doing - And I didn't want to butcher it. However, there's once again, a lot of firsts in this sketch, and I'd like to go over them.

Information on the process: Normally, my drawings are done in a sketch book horizontally on each page. For this sketch, I did it on tagboard, in an effort to fix my graphite chipping problem. Notice however, that the portrait is vertical, and not horizontal. I actually did this originally because I wanted to fit her ears in without making the image too small. In the end, her ear tip was still cut off, but it gave me a lot more room to work with. I was only originally going to do just her head and neck, but as I progressed, I decided to just fit in everything I could with the space I had. Bringing the first upper body drawing I've done in any detail what so ever.

While it is not finished, and I am not sure it ever will be, I personally think this is the best Anime drawing I've done thus far, and may possibly be my favorite piece I've done.

The entire sketch was done with a 2H pencil.

Sketch completed on March 23rd, 2019."
