Rotate Brush

Beskrivning
Allows rotation of tree brush, terrain brush, resource brush and surface brush

Works whenever there is a brush active, including Extra Landscaping Tools and Surface Painter Tool.

Mod Usage
  • Hold down CTRL while moving mouse to free-rotate the brush.
  • Press CTRL to rotate by 15°
  • Press SHIFT + CTRL (in that order) to rotate by 45°

NOTE: ForestBrush Tool is not affected by this mod, since it already includes this feature.

This mod uses the Harmony library for patching. The unique id used is "com.tpb.rotatebrush".

Patched methods: ToolController.RenderBrush(), TreeTool.ApplyBrush(), TerrainTool.ApplyBrush(), ResourceTool.ApplyBrush(), SurfacePainter.InGameSurfaceTool.ApplyBrush().
All of the above methods are replaced and thus any mod that also patches the same methods is incompatible.

This mod works perfectly in the map editor. In game, It works to rotate the brush, but for some reason, It disables the ability to change the terrain. Still works great for map editor though!

Spent many hours trying to figure out why I couldn't lower terrain with my terraforming tools after installing this.

*ADDITIONAL MOD CONFLICT FOUND*

After taking an hour to load every mod individually, I found that the mod "Rotate Brush" by TPB conflicts with the Unlimited Landscaping Mod. If both of these mods are active, you will not be able to subtract terrain, you can only add terrain. If you are experiencing this problem like I was, you need to disable the mod "Rotate Brush" if you have it.

Made a total mess of the landscape system. Basically pushed whatever you were trying to get rid of across the map. Messed up rivers. Only builds up, will not build down. Avoid at all costs.
Might work in editor but worthless in game play. I unsubscribed, game works as expected.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Vanilla brushes work, as do the brushes included in the mod, but custom brushes always build in the same direction of the game grid. (i.e. does not rotate...despite the indicator showing it moving)
