STEP 1
Launch your steam application

STEP 2
Enter your steam games library and locate the Garry's Mod game, Once located right click on the game.

STEP 3
After you right click on the game file a drop down menu will appear , click on the 'Properties' tab

STEP 4
Next select the 'Local Files' tab located on the top of the window

STEP 5
Next select the 'Verify Integrity Of Game Files' option. This will restore any missing files from the Garry's mod folder that could be missing.

STEP 6
Once the previous step has been complete, restart your computer

STEP 7
Once the restart is complete, Load up Garry's Mod and try reconnecting to the server to see if the issue has been resolved

STEP 1
Launch your steam application

STEP 2
Enter your steam games library and locate the Garry's Mod game, Once located right click on the game.

STEP 3
After you right click on the game file a drop down menu will appear, click on the 'Properties' tab

STEP 4
Next select the 'Set Launch Options' button

STEP 5
Type this in +mat_dxlevel 95 (there's a chance that this could work)

STEP 6
If you have 4 gigs of ram or 8 gigs of ram try typing these in the set launch options:

For 8 gigs you would put -heapsize 8388608

For 4 gigs you would put -heapsize 4194304

STEP 1
Contact an Imperial Gaming Staff Member who is in-game via the Community Teamspeak

Teamspeak Download: https://www.teamspeak.com/en/

Teamspeak Server Address: syd.streamlinegames.com:10012

STEP 2
Get the staff member to set you back to an ST Recruit while you are trying to load in

STEP 3
This will cause you to crash one more time due to the error, after the crash attempt to reconnect to the server and the error should most likely be fixed.

STEP 4
If the issue was not resolved by Step 3 get the staff member to promote you to a storm trooper while your trying to load in again the back to ST Recruit.

STEP 1
Completely uninstall Garry's Mod and all of the contents and addons.

STEP 2
Reinstall Garry's Mod

STEP 3
Reconnect To The Server and determine if the fix was effective.

STEP 1
Open Garry's Mod local files
• Steam
• Library
• Garry's Mod
• *Right Click*
• Properties
• Local Files
• Browse Local Files

-- Leave that window open for later

STEP 2
Clear Garry's Mod downloads & addons
• Garry's Mod Local Files
• Delete the 'downloads' and the 'addons' folder

This PC > Windows 10 (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > GarrysMod > garrysmod

STEP 3
Verify Game cache VIA Steam
• Steam
• Library
• Garry's Mod
• *Right Click*
• Properties
• Local Files
• Verify integrity of game cache

STEP 4
Clear your subscribed addons
• Visit https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/4000/workshop/
• Dropdown menu 'Browse'
• Click 'Subscribed Items'
• On the right side of your screen, hit 'Unsubscribe all'

STEP 5
Disable server-side downloaded content
• Garry's Mod main menu
• Options
• Other
• Only allow map files

STEP 6
Connect to a server / Singleplayer
• Attempt to connect to any Star Wars RP server APART FROM Imperial Gaming.
• If that does not work - try starting up a singleplayer server on either gm_flatgrass or rp_stardestroyer_v2_4_inf
• Once you connect, don't move for 5 minutes and just wait in spawn

STEP 7
Connect to Imperial Gaming
• If all went well and no errors arose, you should now be able to connect to Imperial Gaming.
• For your first connection to IG, do NOT use 'Allow all custom files from server'
• Once you successfully connect to Imperial Gaming, you may re-subscribe to the content pack and enable 'Download all custom files from server'.
