Re-binding shift and caps lock over cntrl and shift actually works better for larger hands than smaller ones. My pink naturally rests right between shift and caps lock when on WASD. cntrl is farther away and you have to reach for it.
Most people have overcome that by playing with their keyboard at extreme angles but you can also just rebind your keys to whatever you want.
These left hand binds might honestly be better for people with smaller hands, I'm not sure. I've also never struggled to juggle a jump and medic button, as I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I needed to medic and jump within like 7 frames of each other.
