According to all contacted modern gunsmiths this model would have been painful to fire and difficult to aim.
The Shard Reader who first translated the ancient gunsmith's tablet believes the text mentions a system to "damp" recoil. Modern Gunsmiths dispute said claim stating such a device is impossible.

If such a mechanism was used on this weapon, it has been destroyed by time. As such, firing this weapon is not recommended.
