Regenerating Ships

This mod regenerates the health of all player-owned ship structures, including planks, sails, guns, and all attached structures such as walls and ceilings. We use it on our private server, and it was created to alleviate the chore of manually repairing every structure that the crew won't repair. The default settings repair 200 health every 10 minutes (600 seconds), which will repair most medium ships within about 4 hours.

In order to keep the processing as light as possible, the health regeneration does not require resources, nor a crew. It will not interfere with normal repairs.

INI SETTINGS

The following are the default settings, that can be modified by adding this section to the GameUserSettings of every tile in a grid. To keep the default settings, you do not need this entry in your INI.

RegenerationInitialDelaySeconds=60.0
RegenerationIntervalSeconds=600.0
RegenerationAmountAnchored=200.0
RegenerationAmountUnanchored=0.0

The settings can be interpreted in this fashion:

Once a server is started, after RegenerationInitialDelaySeconds, start iterating over player-owned ships every RegenerationIntervalSeconds, and repair every attached structure by RegenerationAmountAnchored for anchored ships, and RegenerationAmountUnanchored for unanchored ones.

NOTE: The smaller the RegenerationIntervalSeconds, the processing is done more often. This may bog down large servers with many player ships. For more health regeneration, it is recommended to increase the RegenerationAmountAnchored and/or RegenerationAmountUnanchored values instead of shortening the processing interval.

id like to use this mod to try and prevent ship decay, especially in freeports. I play in singleplayer and I want to be able to build in those areas since theyre so nice. I tried playing in Blackwood since the freeport there works differently but that map has a few bugs that are annoying like the gps being off. What settings would I need to use to prevent ship decay so I can enjoy the singleplayer experience?

this is something common in atlas,no need a mod to crash after u close the SP session...U need to understand they didnt fix any of bugs for SP,they dont care :(.In your crash log file u gona see first line with something arround kernelbase.dll (thats a dll from windows10 who will get error,when u low on video memory amd ram).Mods consume more video and ram memory :)

I use this in singleplayer, and every time I quit to the main menu the game crashes.

Should repair your decks,depends what configuration u have for the mod,and depends to the other mods u use..i know for vanilla ships will repair everything u have,anchored or unanchored,depends on settings u have...but idk if the mod will proprely repairs ships from other mods like AS,or heavy ships and so one.

This doesn't seem to be repairing decks any more. Is this working as intended?

I m sure regeneration ships work well with death recovery,cuz i used them {LINK VERWIJDERD} fact i l write u the list with mods that i m sure this mod was working.

Regeneration ships,death recovery,hitching post,weight reduction 90%..thats all i can remember well..

But i m pretty sure the mod is in conflict with that artilery mod..regeneration ship regain health for everything in your ship,including cannons,ballistas,sails,ceilings and so on.

All good. We had a stint of relief but lag and studder has returned in alternate forms. Not in the same way though. Still hunting a full solution. I only have the ability to test on Blackwood. As far as conflicts we had the artillery mod and ship regen (Both removed) and then the Juke box mod and death recovery mod. Currently Death Recovery is the only active one. May purge it soon to test. Other than that we're keeping it simple. Open to any suggestions and if it seemed like I was hating I apologize. Your mod is fantastic. Thanks for the hard work.

@Jackle80,andargor the mod have no issue,the problem of Jackle is another mod who is in conflict with ship regeneration,prob he use AS or funk,who has own shipyards with own things on ship health and other stats.

@Jackle80 Thanks for the report. That's extremely strange since the mod is completely separate from the ship entities, it just lists them and adds HP. Does this issue only happen on Blackwood or all maps? I unfortunately will not be able to try to fix it for a while.
