Transparent Solar Panels

For public use, everything should work optimally.

Mod details:

All blocks are in a "Shaostoul" tab.
Large & small grid variants

Available blocks:

13 Solar panel windows

How does this mod differ from the original?

This mod has been updated for the release of Space Engineers.

It replaces the original completely, and should not be used with it.

It also includes the following changes:

1. Bulletproof glass is now a requirement to build these solar windows
2. Girders are used instead of grids and small tubes to secure the windows
3. Slight power adjustments have been made based on the model SA
4. PCU is included for those who wish to take performance impacts into consideration

Suggestions for future work:

1. Adjustments and finalization of small grid panels construction cost.
2. Power output increases/reductions as deemed appropriate.
Build requirements and output for small grid panels may need to be adjusted.

Work on this mod is discontinued. This mod may not work with your game

why they look so transparent in the picture when they aren't at all in the game??

Small grid solar cells will likely go down in output and increase in cost.

Everything should be balanced though to where you are getting roughly the same amount and construction cost from the same build area.

I absolutely love this mod. But I noticed that large ship counterparts produce the same amount of energy, and use 4 times the amount of solar cells of a smaller grid.
