How to solve "Insufficient video memory detected"

At some modern systems, you can't start GTR, because can't setup videocard. Here is step-by-step guide to solve it.

If your GTR - FIA GT Racing Game can't start because haven't video memory

This happens because you have videocard with more than "detectible" memory size.
The solution is use DirectX emulator like dgVoodoo.
Right-click on installed game in library and choose Properties, then Local files, and Browse Local Files.
In opened window you must see files GTR.exe, 3dconfig.exe and some another files and folders.
Now download dgVoodoo http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2_54.zip or download my pack with ready-to-play same emulator - see links below.
If you download latest dgVoodoo without my settings, you need to read manual and installation notes, to use it.

Emulator enabled aniso 16x and MSAA 4x
this settings give better perfomance, than inside FSAA settings.

Extract files from my archive to folder with GTR.exe, 3dconfig.exe.
Now try run 3dconfig.exe
If you see something like














You do all fine!
Setup video-resolution, please remember this game is old and awfull bad optimized.
Recommended resolution - 1280x768 for wide-screens.

Если Ваша GTR - FIA GT Racing Game не запускается из-за недостатка видео-памяти.

Это происходит, потому что видеокарта имеет больше памяти, чем игра может обнаружить.
Решением будет установить DirectX эмулятор, например dgVoodoo.
Правой кнопкой щелкните на установленной игре в библиотеке и выберите Свойства -> Локальные файлы -> Просмотреть локальные файлы.
В открывшемся окне Вы должны увидеть файлы GTR.exe, 3dconfig.exe и кучу других файлов и папок.
Теперь скачайте dgVoodoo http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2_54.zip или скачайте мой архив с уже настроенным эмулятором - ссылки ниже.
Если Вы скачаете последний dgVoodoo, то Вам придется читать ридми и инструкцию по установке, чтобы его использовать.

Распакуйте файлы из моего архива в папку с GTR.exe, 3dconfig.exe

Вы сделали все правильно!
Настройте разрешение графики, пожалуйста помните, что игра старая и ужасно оптимизированная.
Рекомендованное разрешение - 1280x768 для широкоформатных экранов.

Что еще можно сделать? Раньше игра у меня работала.

Я сделал все как ты и сказал, но игра все еще не запускается. У меня Windows 10 и 2 видеокарты: интегрированное ядро UHD 630 и GTX 1650. Для всех остальных игр от SimBin я могу просто зайти в настройки винды и поменять основную видеокарту. И все, игра работает. Но не GTR.
Я пробовал менять карту для игры, конфигуратора и Вуду, применять совместимость. Запускаю с папки: application Load Error. Запускаю со стима: конфиг открывается, но настроки не сохраняются. После нажатия на конку принять, конфиг закрывается и через секунд 20 кнопка закрыть в стиме становится зеленой.

For the user of this guide, I see that it says in the Dyspay image means that you do not have the screen adapter installed or you do not have an integrated or dedicated graph card.

Thanks. Game now working except the MoDec? info in the steering wheel does not display. In game options says it requires a certain size of video card. I guess it's the same problem.
Any fix?
Or have i not followed your fix correctly?
