Intro: ONE HOUR AND OH GOD SO MANY LIVES.
First, there was the void. Then came the light. Then came the Dark.
And all was balanced.
But then, the Pie of Eternity exploded.
And all was Chaos.

Of that chaos emerged an idea. That idea was Eden.
The land of the Light.

Of that idea emerged a nightmare. That Nightmare was Nosaj.
The lord of the Bones.

And all was balanced again.

So yeah. You came here. Damn you must be desperate? Haven't you seen the Goat before clicking?
Damn fool, you'll kill us all.

This is a Veteran guide to what to do after you played twenty or thirdy hours.
Many lives can be boring, even when you are doing great and keep the people alive. Farming to ensure the pies, the constant interuptions as your building you car to get lost. SO many kids that disturb you quiet woman life as you decide this is not a good spot to give birth.
But.
That's not funny.
And Nosaj is unpleased with that...
So here here is the Goat guide to ensure that you always have some new things to try, or that will make you rethink certains phases of the game.

The Goat.
Settlement: Becoming Rick Grimmes/ The kind of town I want.

"And the Light Birth the Life.
And then the Dark Birth the Death
And all was balanced again.

She called herself Eve.
She was the First.
She won't be the last.

And Nosaj watched.
As the first human
began their journey."

MAKE THAT TOWN GREAT AGAIN!

Ok. It's time. All womans are dead, you are the last one. And that's a big city. You have to brood, or the civ will die.
First of all, get a knife. It's not the world that you want to be, and killing the last woman is the kind of challenge that griefers are after. So it's time to weaponize your booty.
Of course, you'll stay near fire, trying to up maximal yummy bonus, to brood more.
Forget that you were a woman. You are now a zerg. And the little ones that you spawn will repopulate the town.
Make sure to raise kids, to teach them, to show them the town. Make them learn basics (cooking, Smithing), or be sure to have pro kids that can show to others. Everyone can farm bushes. But your dynasty will also forge tools to do so.
Finally, bond with players. Make them feel special to you. be that excentric mother they will remember for her teachings. Improve the immersion in game and you'll be rewarded by more focus players.

All the point of this game is to make a mark, putting ourselves in the grand scheme of things as a tiny piece.

Organise your children. GIVE THEM LANDS (ofc it's not yours but who cares!) if you say to a kid; this spot is now yours, it will connect the player to the land. Maybe he'll farm longer and will create a little cosy spot here for futur children. tell him this land was one time yours, but you tried so hard to save the town that he was left unintended. Tell them THAT'S YOUR WISH to see this land farmed again.

Finally, ask for people needing help. Too many inexperienced players are just waiting to be told and taught. Be the hero that gotham deserve.

Finally, on the old days, make some paper. Write down your legacy, giving the players a thing to read for future gen. Don't hesitate to put projects on paper for gran children to realize. "Here will be the library" "here will be the new kitchen" "here will be the fighting pit". and so on.

You are a veteran. Ask for things to be done. If someone encounters problems, resolve it telling him how to do next time.

Don't forget to regulary tour the town, scouting what jobs need to be done. Give intel to your daughters, and order your sons. COMMUNICATION is key.

Or maybe key is key, I don't really remember. Locked away here.
II- History will Prevail/ Or the importance of Paper

"He came first.
Artyom by his name.
The one that will bring
An era of darkness.

Felicia was the Second.
Wise and Fierce.
A Bow and a Rose.

Meridith shall be third.
Loving and carring.
Weak of body but strong of Heart.

Vil was next.
The fourth child.
Born by sadness
as the world fell apart."

The Power to Share an Idea

The true power of mankinf resided in History, and writing. Writing will pass the test of time, and let a mark for your children, and gran children, and maybe the next to come.
Writing is also a tool of power. With a bit of paper and a pencil, you can craft Laws for your town. You can become Archivist, recording a bit of history of the town. You can be reporter, and write crazy stuff to make people laugh. You can be GM and let some riddles on the ground, a map maybe or some creepy pasta notes.

Writing is fun and useful. You can map the area, telling the next gen where to look for rabbits, bananas, nosaj, secret villages.
How to make it?:

>Gather shafts, making them short staff with sharp stone. You can collect more this way with baskets or backpack.
>Use knife on short staffs
>use the wood on bowl of water.
>using a hot coals type of fire, put the bowl on it.
>after ten seconds, take it back. Use a round stone on it.
>apply it on a flat stone, then use a round stone again.
use a second flat stone to finish it.
tadaaaa

As the history of the game advance and people pass, you can consider to add several text with spiritual stuff on it. While making a cult, the paper can be your best ally, codifying and structuring your cult, city, council.

Paper can be use to spread news to all the town. A killer on the run? Send some errand boy with a message with the description of the perp.

With a bit of luck and skill, you can do alone twenty fives sheets. With help, you can do better.
If you working in a press station, send people make baskets. You'll need them to store writings. And people will eventually get the baskets currently used to do something else. So numbers prevail.
Teach people how to make paper, and writing.
The more people used it, the quicker it will be used as element of gameplay.
III- The Art of Killing or How to make friends!

"As He was betrayed
And fell of Grace
The Hope shivered.
The Mankind began to disapear.

Eden collapsed
Like in a nightmarish dream.
And all was Nothing.
And Nothing was All.

But Not all Lights were lost.
And the Fate named the Daughters
To transmit life again.
And the Light was again.

But not all darkness faded
And the God of Bones
is waiting, dreaming.
Of his freedom now lost."[/i]

GRIEFING IN THE NAME OF NOSAJ

Ok. You are a veteran now, but you only bought the game cos you were bored in real life where you are a serial killer eating babies for breakfast And now you're bored again! . You want blood. You want to kill, destroy. See the miserables worms crawl back to the ground they belong. When having a knife near a child, you feel the urge to just click and be over with, laughing alone in a dark room drinking red wine.
I totally get you, we all have a dangerous psychopath fed by violent video games and movies.
But please be creative.

First of. To kill or not to kill. That's the question.

Murder for murder is not only stupid, it's boring.
You spawn
You get a weapon
You kill one naked dude that was rude to your mother
you get cruxified and sent to hell by angry mob.
The end.

Killing is a element of gameplay. So the Job "killer", or "lawman" is too. Again, it's time to work immersion. If you're gonna kill people in this life, you'll have to do it right.
First of all, your role now is Killer. Only become one in big crowded cities. Only target old people, or males char. Your goal is not to extinct the town.
If the city is already low on people, don't do this type of role.
You'll have to hide you dangerous stench for blood early age, hiding yourself behind /blush /happy. Then when free of your "family", it's time to attack the problem.

First, you cant have knife yet. Too young. Same goes for bow.
Early game will be preparation for your dark carrier. Scout around the town, cos let's face it; murdering someone inwall is stupid and will get you killed. First of all, you have to take your marks. Notice what area are frequented and those who aren't.
Find yourself a nice hiding spot, behind a wall, a tree, or a fountain maybe. The place where you'll go when your act of violence will be done.
Knows how many weapons are in circulation. Btw, you are a killer, so only use knife. Bow is just not a way to murder people. You want to be close to your victim to see the life goes out of his eyes.
And specially cos you can't hide bow in your back.
Procure yourself a backpack, and a knife. tricky or easy in function of towns.
It's time to target someone. You'll have to follow him a while. make sure he is not a cook or a smith. those rarely leave workplace.
No you're looking for some errand boy, or beggar that only eat berries.
Think manners to lure them away, or follow them when they leave town.
If possible, write a paper early age with the note" You die next." (be sure to craft that item outside town) and leave it somewhere. follow the first man/old that will take it. This is your assigned target. Every people taking it next is not concerned.

Using paper as killer can be really fun. "this paper is soaked with blood.." "Your blood will be mine"
People usually take those messages outside town to hide them.
You know what to do now.

The first murder happened. You are safe, and no lead goes to you.
It's time to play dumb dumb
relay the intel that a killer is on the loose. People already knowing this will support you. Insist to be careful.
Plant your message again.
Now people are careful. They have that little ball in the tumy that says "god, who is the killer".
Phase two; the second murder. This will be trickier than before. People are on the edge now.
But a second bloody corps will set them on fire.

Now it's time for directives. State that the town isn't safe anymore. It needs a guard or a police man.
While griefing, you offer the opportunity to create a new job. Wow!
What a good lad.

It's mid game. A third kill can be greedy. You can decide to stop there a while. It's time to create a dark brotherhood of your own. Find a twisted kid that will become the new killer if you die.
If it works, and even if you die poorly by starving in front of a berry bush, someone will operate with the same mode as yours. Somehow, people will think you're still alive. Make sure that your son, or daughter (stole if necessary) is aware that this is not griefing, but a role: explain him/her the rules, make sure that she/he follows them.
Congrats, you have made a syndicat: use a special code phrase to say before death, and you'll see the people that actually followed your path.

But maybe you want your crimes to happen in plein light.
Well create a cult in the name of a demonic deity, and recruit your children. everyone loves some eccentric gameplay. And it will be too latefor them when they'll realize that the new members of the cult must be sacrificied and celebrate.
You can find a superb guide to manage your cult in the steams guides btw.

Ok. Remember the Guard role that I brought earlier. Maybe it's your duty to be the vigilante that Gotham needs. Maybe you want to be the dark hero, the griefer hunter, the witcher of your town. You'll need first to make sure people are aware that now, you'll hunt killers and griefers. Thus, you can wear an empty bow in town without scaring the shet of people. You'll need a backpack to store an arrow, a bow, and maybe a wolf cap would be nice. The imagery of a predator is good for your prestige. Make sure when young to get that arrow, or a second. Prepare a hospital in the case something goes wrong, or make sure the one in town have needle and thread and pads.
Now it's time to scout. Look for people that are suspicious.
THIS MEANS EVERYONE. Ask questions, say you're on an investigation. Ask people if they saw murders during their life. Be a beat cop.
In big cities, there will always be a griefer somwhere. If not, the fact that you are now the "Order" will encourage people to become "vilain". Think of the Joker.
Yes. Psychology is strong with this one.
Go hunt if you're in peaceful town. Bring furs and make a bit of paper to begin the laws (after all, you are the law) written of the town. Make sure to have a successor when you pass.

Finally, if you are a civ killer, I have no wise words for you. I understand that you don't get what to do in this game that you bought by mistake. Hell will have a special place for you. With many horny goats. Loves.
III-The Weak walks on roads. The Strong rides a storm. (Ze Horses!)
"Infinity for those who are walking
On the path of the Bones.
As Nosaj Will reward
Those that honor him.

These were the words before the Night.
As those who fell for empty promises
were lead astray from Home.

Like sheeps to the slaughter.
The Death birthed the Pain
As the first souls of darkness
rose from His shadow.

He called those demonic children
Griefers."

The teachings of Monomomon

Maximize your speed.

I'm Outside of time and Space, but I'm afraid you're just out of Time. One hour flee. And the thing you'll do most, even before the gobbling party of 12547895574553215869 berries is walk and move.
You have to go quicker, or prepare the ay for those who will come after you.
Roads yes. But everyone can lift a flat stone.
You're more than that.
You are a Rider, a Horse trainer.
If enough carts in town, time to grab a lasso and play cowboys.
"IF NOT ENOUGH CART: GO MAKE THEM"

Ok. You are scared to use horses and cart. You remember too well the first time that you broke that cart on a snake. Or that time or your hose just ran away while you were pooping in berries bushes. Hard times. But did you know that all forms of Horses will remain in the biome they are left in. This is useful for containing yours when outside of town, with no parking space.

But Mighty goat, I hear you say. I never tamed A horse! Well me neither! But with the power of the gods, and the super useful wiki, here it is for your eyes only!

Get a lasso (two ropes). Get a desert. Get a horse. Use lasso on horse. hit him with a forge hammer. Use now a ender stone on him. And Voilà, you have crafted a pile of meat with shinies.
No just use lasso on Horse, bring it back to a fence. When he is put, give him carrots
Et voilà. You're now a hero.
Craft a saddle using whool, and you can begin to scout. Or attach a cart to it. BOOM BABE!
Too few people try to tame wild animals. As veteran it's also a part of your job. Taming is rarely learned from mothers cos you know, desert is a radioactive pile of wastelands now.

Remember that veteran often solo jobs cos gifted with experience. Don't forget to pass the teachings you can to random new players. Bit by bit, the global level will up.
With more carts, horses and transports, the villages will be able to expand quicker, go scout ressources, bring them back and evolve to the next age.

You can farm carrots yes.
But you can innovate science too.
Be sure to balance those aspects when playing and not get a role that you didn't want but you think no one else is going to do it.
IV: The Ancient Art of The Racoon Chicken: How to be a Doctor!
"He sent all of them away,
On a neverending quest,
to find the keys of the chains
that held him in the Dark World

And again, There was Light
And there was Darkness
And all was Balanced."

HEAL ME I'M ALMOST "..."

Ok. Hospital. The building to create. An hospital with a bit of panache will avoid people stealing essentials things that lays around (like needle and thread). It also can be use to teach people how to heal other.
The art of healing was once discovered by a little community of raccons that were dubious about being in reality chickens.
Theses are the words of their leader that describe how to make the necessary for healing.

In order to make pads you need: a bowl, a bowl with water, hot coals (a fire), ball of thread. (shears and knitting needles to get the ball of thread)

>shears = two steel blades. to make steel blades you also need a steel file (if you don't know how to make them yet, ask someone to make it for you or look it up on onetech)
>knitting needles = two skewers together

For needle and ball of thread:
once you have shears, shear the sheep to get their wool.
use the knitting needles on the wool to get a ball of thread.
if you combine that ball of thread with a needle, you will get needle and ball of thread, which is one step to close up wounds.

in case you don't know how to make a needle: hunt a rabbit with a snare (cut straight branch into stakes with a sharp stone x rope) use a flint chip on the rabbit to get rabbit fur and meat. then use a skewer on the rabbit meat and cook it over hot coals. after that, eat the cooked rabbit and you will receive rabbit bones. right click on the rabbit bones to separate it and get a single rabbit bone. use a flint chip on the rabbit bone to get a needle.

for pads:
once you have balls of thread, get yourself a bowl of water and a bowl for the pads, kindling for the fire (if you already have one going) and light the kindling with a straight shaft.
wait for the fire to turn into hot coals and put the bowl of water on top of the coals. then after that, proceed with using the balls of thread on the hot water, then put them in a bowl afterwards to prevent them from getting dirty. if they get dirty, you have to repeat the hot water process again.

now when you see someone who's injured, use a pad on them and close up their wound with needle and ball of thread. tada! you've saved someone.

i skipped over a few things, but if you're confused search sterile wool pad or bowl of sterile pads and needle and ball of thread on onetech.

Teachings DubiousRacconChicken -Sama

I had that if you want to do antivenom, for snakes bites, you need a horse. Now go in the sesert with that horse and walk on a snake. Bim, the horse died. Get your trustworthy bowl that you are always carrying with you and get the blood of the horse. This is antivenom.
Now you can even cure people that suffered snakes attacks.

Make a room with a fire, and all you gathered, add a home marker en try to make people making it their home. If they are injured, they will come back here in futur, where all the shinies are. The chance of saving a person with a home marker in a hospital up of 45%. From where did I have that number? I can show you but that's not a gentlemen thing to do.

Hey there. This guide was put on line months ago. The meta have changed a lot since, so all of this is no longer relevant.
To respond to you answer, Monomon is a boss from another game (Hollow Knight) called the Teacher.
I.S.A.I.F 1 Aug, 2019 @ 4:02pm
This is pretty great stuff right here. Question: Who is Monomon?
