WoW Classic: Tinkertown

After the disastrous event that drove out the gnomes from their capital city of Gnomeregan, the remnants of the Gnomish race took refuge in the dwarven capital of Ironforge. They were quick to establish their own quarter of the city into Tinkertown, quickly identifiable by steam pipes and spinning cogs. It also serves as the Ironforge-side entrance/exit to one of the greatest feats of Gnomish civil engineering: the Deeprun Tram, which connects between Ironforge and the human city of Stormwind. High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque serves as the leader and representative of the gnomish race when it comes to the Alliance. He is often called the King of Gnomes - though High Tinker is an elected title, he is held in such high regard that he has always won the position. Though the loss of Gnomeregan weighs heavily on Gelbin, he does not let the matter weigh him down. He's the brilliant inventor of things commonly seen in WoW: the mechanostrier, repair bots, seige engines, and the Deeprun Tram itself. Despite his high achievements, he is humble and always willing to help his allies no matter how great the task.
