The "Doctor"
The “Doctor” (beware, he never achieved an academic title – treatments on your own risk; risks and side effects guaranteed) will cure your troops as good as he can. Bring wounded dwarves to him and he’ll stick them in a sickbed and patch them up.

You can upgrade the simple sickbeds and make them more comfy so your dwarves will heal quicker.

With the third tab on the left side you can unlock new doctor skills and improve the “doctor’s” tent. These will be more sickbeds as well as the ability to heal fractures.

The Cook
As Napolean already said: An army marches on its stomach. This is even more true for dwarves.
The Cook will – as soon as you’ve freed the necessary sauce pan out of this filthy rat hands – prepare you meals with the ingredients you bring back from your expeditions. Hungry dwarves are moody and not good at fighting - you best watch out that your dwarves have no reason to complain! Additionally, food might have instant effects while on tour: bread*, for example, will regenerate 5 HP.

(*attention, not gluten free)

The Blacksmith
Freddie, your blacksmith, will take care of your troops’ armor. Before you can get started, you need to go to Gilford though and leave him some help in the mines (pretty awkward to hang out there alone…). Afterwards, the blacksmith will kindly craft items for your ever-growing, terrible dwarf army, with which your dwarves will be fashionably well equipped for each raid, adventure or expedition!

The Trainer
Your trainer will improve your troops’ skill, not only with hard training but also with fiery motivational speeches! Send your dwarves there to become real war machines.

However, some dwarves need a bit more time to learn so you might want to leave them to the trainer for extra shifts, who has some back-breaking work for them! Send your dwarves to some cruel tutelage, consisting of four terrible tasks (one worse than the other) - pull up wheat, apply & polish, carry sacks, and catch flies will make your dwarves mentally strong and teach them discipline!
