The new Grievance system is pretty cool, I think its a big improvement on the previous warmongering system. But unfortunately, the decay rates are too high for the system to be as meaningful as it could be. Wars are forgotten in the blink of an eye.


Overview

This mod reduces the decay rates across all eras but the last. This is a simple, but big improvement on the politics possibilities by making consequences mean something for longer.

It is highly recommended that you use this alongside my Third-Party Grievances Reduced mod. That mod reduces the penalty-cap to (-15). The vanilla penalty-cap of (-40) would be overly punishing with this mod.


Compatibility

Can be added and removed freely from any running save without issue.
Requires Gathering Storm
Should be compatible with everything, let me know if you run into problems.

The values tweaked by this mod are not dependent on game speed, meaning the values are the same on all speeds.

Slower Grievance Decay reduces the rate of decay .
3rd Party Grievances Reduced reduces the relationship penalty .

My note in the description is recommending you use both mods, otherwise if you use only this one, the very large vanilla penalties will still be in place, and this mod would make them linger for longer.

Does this works with epic games ? I mean : is the decay divided by 1.5 ? Or divided by 2 for marathon games ? ASO ?
By the way in the description, you're talking about "massive -40 relationship penalties" for breaking promises : do you mean that your mod reduces the decay of both grievances AND bad relations score due to promises broken ?

To Novalibium, The best way to get rid of grievance effects in captured cities, is to get rid of (KILL) their original owner, without being the one to take their LAST city from their control. I had one game where I conquered (destroyed) 4 Civs with No long term lingering effects by doing it right.
