"Lesson Learned" Answers...
Okay okay, if you just want all the achievement, I'm going to just straight up put the answers here (in spoiler text, of course!). It's a 100% guide after all, and the ARG is long since over. People are actually burning books again. Hyperinflation is on the horizon. Nothing is safe!
(Fry me if you want, C28 Discord... Let people enjoy things! Besides, it's straight up written in a post by Deleted User made in 3/2019!)

    Things to notice:
  • The playing area is actually quite large, and if you fly far enough in any direction, you'll find it to be surrounded by walls!
  • To the right side of the arena, you will find what appears to be a door...
  • You ought to notice after a while that the enemy ships will not fire on you unless fired upon. This opens the possibility of a "Pacifist Run". Perhaps something different happens throughout the course of one of these?

Secret clues (big brain stuff, involving the world outside the game):
  • Notes can be found on the title/menu screen by interacting with various panels and buttons... These should lead you to a certain name and a certain book: The Explorer by James Smythe
  • Looking up specific words on specific lines of specific pages (as found in messages in the game) will spell something out:
  • Restart the game after changing your Steam name to: Saviors

    How to unlock the achievement:
  • After changing your Steam name as listed above, commit to a pacifist run. Enter the door when it opens, and find your way through the maze...

Alright again thanks for the help!. I made it through the maze, but how do I get to CY28? When can I change my name back?
Samoth 25.2.2024 klo 0.33
TY it worked insofar as it opened the maze, which I did not complete. But seeing how I have most of the achieves as is, I won't try for the 5k/10k ones. I'd like to get to CY 28 tho. At least it will be 'done' in that sense. Whatever it is that makes the game end. So, i can lay it too rest.

Yep, that'll open some doors for you. Specifically, "Saviors". Without quotes. A lot of people did a a whole lot of research to figure all that out.
Mad respect, y'all!

So, I finally earned all the upgrades, and so now I have to change my steam name or something to go to the next area, while doing a pacifist run?
Samoth 17.7.2023 klo 0.15
pretty much everything above sounded or seems tedious, but I do appreciate the insights. I suppose at some point I could make some progress. I think I burned myself on it for a bit.
Steve  [tekijä] 16.7.2023 klo 23.11
Sorry about that. As I've marked this guide to be "100%", it doesn't make much sense that I'd only tell you how to get 91% of the achievements. As such, I've added some additional information. Hope that helps!
Samoth 6.7.2023 klo 21.44
This game makes zero sense. The guide is nice but does not explain much, I'd rather not join a discord just to learn to play...

This was extra helpful! :skknight::skheart:

Thanks for the tips!

Conquer Yourself - Destroy the mimic ship that shows up at 4:00:00 (unless you're in a pacifist run). I think you also have to survive until the end of that cycle.
Twenty-four Hours... - IIRC I did this just by playing pacifist until a few seconds were left, then finding a weak enemy and killing them. Might not have to kill them, just shooting once before the cycle ends might work.
Twenty-four Hours... With Some Scratches - Kill an enemy with collision damage only, fire no shots, and survive the cycle.
