There are many bugs in this game from not being able to pick up teapots and heat them to vault pictures.

Your save game actually keeps all the activated events within itself. All we need to do is open the save game using notepad then find the correct event and remove it.

In this tutorial i will show you how to remove the Budapest Vault bug.

Step One
You want to remove the character from the area you are having the bug and quit the game.
(Remove your character from the vault area and quit)

Step Two
Find your save game. This is in your AppData folder. (You will need to have hidden file discovery activated on your machine)
"C:\Users\PCUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\IcarusGames\REM\save_YOURPROFILENAME.xml"

Step Three
Copy and paste this to create a back up, this is definitely recommended if your not sure what to start changing.

Step Four
Open the file in notepad.

Step Five
Find the correct section for the scene. For the bank vault it is Scene 52. "<SCENE_52_bank>"
You will now want to delete everything from the line "<SCENE_52_bank>" to "</SCENE_52_bank>" . Make sure you include those two lines.

Step Six
Save the file.

Step Seven
Start up the game, load your saved game and start playing again. You should be able to reactivate the full event, in this case re-open the vault door and get the picture.
