The Incandescent Whisperer is a miniboss mod that takes place over a short quest chain involving a wandering priest seeking answers below the Estate.

Around week 35, the Hamlet will be visited by a wandering friar and his faithful bodyguard. Initially deigning to grant their aid to the Hamlet, uncomfortable questions about the nature of the evil under the manor -- and the Heir's connection to the Ancestor -- inspires the friar to seek out the truth behind the Darkest Dungeon. What he finds there will shake him to his very core, and set the stage for a confrontation between the heir's battle-hardened enforcers and the rallied peasants of the Estate.




The players will have ample opportunity to fight for rare and powerful trinkets, each with curious and unique abilities.



This mod includes:

• Three new quests; Find the Friar, Gather the Relics, and Slay a deadly foe.
  
• A brand new boss encounter featuring three different monsters!
  
• Four completely unique trinkets; one from each new monster, and a fourth as a reward for completing the quest.
  
  ** Keep in mind that in order for the new quests to activate, you must kill the currently active bosses for the Ruins and Weald. If you get the town events that implore you to find the friar or gather the relics and the quests aren't available, slay the boss of that dungeon.
