New things to see
Player customization
Player customization for Arcade mode (not Story mode).
Let's you change name, colors, mane and tail, add or remove wings and/or horn.
Saving/loading characters feature.

Weaponry
Knife could be picked in a normal game on the same location on mansion (first level) where wrench used to be (in the kitchen, right above location where you spawn at). On the Pandemonium level (last one) you still can pick the old red wrench. Knife is also available on the devroom level.
Needles may be somewhere on the normal levels too (I don't know if they are), but they are available on the devroom level too.
Two new bonus pickups (modifiers) — "Vision" (grants to see ability to see in the dark for thirty seconds) and "Protection" (grants invincibility for thirty seconds).
You can destroy fireballs mid-air by using <ctrl>

Weapon modifiers. There are currently three upgrades for fireball, plasma and teleport spells.
Plasma:
"Plasma spell". Normal plasma attack. Low accuracy.
"Plasma aim". Works like normal plasma attack, but with maximum accuracy.
"Plasma bounce". Low accuracy like with normal mode, but now plasma shards bounce off the walls.
Fireball:
"Fireball spell". Normal fireball attack.
"Fireball splash". Splits into two fireballs upon impact.
"Fireball blast". Damage range increased by more than three times (does an explosion), then splits into three fireballs upon impact.
Teleportation:
"Teleport spell". Normal teleportation spell.
"Void ball". Launches a teleball like on normal spell, but instead of turning player into a floating cloud that follows the teleball you can now get teleported to it right away. Lowers the risk of being self-telefragged to a minimum.
"Void out". Teleports player to any location without using any teleballs.

Levels
The rave room level is more detailed now.
Playable custom maps. Avaliable to download via Steam Workshop (Workshop won't show up if you don't have dev_build version active).
You can upload your custom made levels to Steam Workshop

Et cetera
New options in main menu (accessible after beating the game).
"Arcade" symbol for future arcade-mode saves.
"Cheater" symbol if you finish an Arcade mode level using cheats.
Male voice pain and death sounds.
More Arcade mode music.
Global statistics.
Player physical condition visualisation in HUD. Avalilable in HUD options as "Classic advanced".

Notes
Devroom — room for testing stuff. You may see it yourself by opening the console and typing "devroom".
"The rave room" level — accessible via devroom (via a house that stands away from main level teleporters).
It is possible for other new things to exist that I am not aware yet.
Custom levels
You can make your own levels using this tool:

Obtaining the dev_build
In you games library, right-click on D'LIRIUM to open it's Steam options. Then, proceed to Properties.

Achievements guide
Old and outdated achievements. This guide was originally written as a guide on getting these.

Going arcade.
Beat the game with any ending.
Beat the game with any ending. You get the achievement after the credits menu. After you unlock it, you will also see the new menu. Not achieveable if you completed the game using cheats.

Plumber.
Beat the game using wrench only.
As the achievement says, use nothing but wrench. Using fireball, plasma or teleport would fail gaining this achievement. Sorcery is allowed. Note that wrench does count as magic, making obtaining this and no magic achievements in a single run not possible.

Pedestrian.
Beat the game without teleportation.
Walk and walk and walk. May be achieved in same run with "Nerves of Steel" and/or "Plumber".

Alone in the dark.
Beat the game without flashlight.
As being restricted to use the flashlight, you may want to light your way using your attack magic.

Serial killer.
Kill 700 monsters.
Simple. Keep murdering.

Mass murder.
Kill 1500 monsters.
Simple. Do the monster genocide.

Eagle eye.
Kill the monster from far distance.
I would suggest playing the Pandemonium level (the last one). After spawning on this level head down and save your game. Now simply shoot a fireball spell above you along the path. You will kill a Howling, and thus, get the achievement.

Sharpshooter.
Kill 10 monsters from far distance.
If you followed my hint from "Eagle eye" achievement above, simply load the save you just made and repeat the process nine more times.

Butcher.
Kill 5 monsters at once using Shaft spell.
Walk around a level and get five monsters following you, then use the "Shaft spell" (the one that makes lightnings) on them. If you have Nightmares or Wraiths following you, make sure to damage them before using the spell as they simply survive one Shaft spell attack.

Reaper.
Kill 10 monsters at once using Shaft spell.
Same as "Buther", but now with ten monsters.

Mom's teleporter.
Kill yourself by failed teleportation 25 times.
You may do that by teleporting into the "void" present on most levels. You may do so and achieve it right after you get it — all levels have plenty of void space on them.

Mom's cook.
Don't play with the gas stove anymore...
On the mansion level there is a kitchen room behind one of the blue lock doors. Simply go near the gas stove and play with it (using the "Use" key).

Steam machine.
Find the secret level.
On the graveyard level (the one you get on after the crystal cave), head right from the crypt. Behind the trees you will find a secret area with floating T-posing gnome easter egg, and past it, above the cathedral, a path leading to the secret "Steam Machine" level. Note that you can get there only on a normal graveyard version, not the Lanterns one.

Party time!
Join the party.
Open the console and enter "map gestas". Now follow the path shown on the image below. To get past the wall and continue your path by the plants, open the console and enter "idclip".

Going arcade.
Beat the game with any ending.
Beat the game with any ending. You get the achievement after the credits menu. After you unlock it, you will also see the new test menu.

There is no level editor yet, but the code is in the open, so if you have time you may try to make something

You say that Teleport is on the first level, but it isn't. It's in the second level of the game.

I realized why I was dying in the void so much only after finishing the game.
Teleportation ball speed is much slower than your own speed (when you transform from a pony into that small flying cloud), so you need to wait a little before outstraight teleporting after the ball.

For mom's teleporter, instead of purposefully killing yourself, I'd recomend trying to do it in combination with the passive win, I think I died more than 50 times in the void attempting this, that was before this update though.

You get Lanterns level randomly with a one to eleven chance.

Any one who can complete the passive path of this game is a true god
