The beginners guide to : summoning
OK!! So, my name is RaK (even in real life) and I'll be your terrible guide on this Mobius Final Fantasy Summoning tutorial! I'll pass along little tips, and things you might not want to ask the top tier players of the game for whatever reason... I did the same for a long time and it was the worst thing until I found a kind player to take me under his wing and teach me how to play the game better. (props to SilentCloud)

P.S. … my name isn't RaK in real life.

I'll quickly mention some of the terminology used in game :

Magicite : a game currency (the most valuable)
Summon Ticket : used towards summoning new cards, equivalent to 500 magicite
Gil : a game currency equivalent to gold
Pull/pulling : to summon a card/cards
Banner : an event with special jobs or cards to summon

I'm guessing you have now downloaded the game and are probably past the tutorials given? Well STOP RIGHT THERE! Time for you to gather your thoughts and listen to my first piece of advice:

Do not summon anything yet!!! HOARD your resources like you would hog a bucket of KFC!! I'll explain as we carry on. Play everywhere with your starter jobs that the game will give you, and the starter cards to use on your deck.

Remember to complete every area fully, and you will gain big rewards to spend later on, now.. On to the bit we all want...Getting cool ♥♥♥♥.

Do not pull on normal banners :

So, what are these “banners” I mention, and what is “pulling” ? Banner refers to a batch of new cards or jobs for you to spend that magicite and summon ticket stash on, when a banner is released it will usually release some cards which are much improved or will have special one time summons/rare summons which only come around now and again.

Pulling refers to using your magicite (game currency) to gamble on these cards and hopefully get the ultimate card : a supreme!
That aside, lets view the current banners :

If you notice, I have campaign summons selected. This will pull 6 cards at one time, for 3000 magicite, this is what you need to spend it on, not single card summons which are in the standard panel.
The banners currently are for the “EX revival” which is for the EX type of job, they are the strongest in the game for the most part, and as I only have 2 of them I wanted more and tried to get them (to no avail) and also the Jet stunner job one, which I'm not bothered about.

When you pull for a card you will see a crystal which can have different coloured lasers, each colour represents what you will get :

Blue is duplicate card
Red is a new card
Green is 4*
Silver is 5*
Gold is a job
Rainbow is a supreme card or an ultimate hero (a skin to go on existing jobs)

Here is an example of summoning a rainbow (from the new year event) - credits to Shinshia

Recently they introduced a system to increase your chances of getting that elusive rainbow laser, it works in this way :
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/ugc/959732611756892933/5CE8B2BBDB5A167869907F6B882840DD9A2E2825/?imw=256&&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

Every greater summon (6 card) you do will add 0.8 to the counter – which goes up to 180, when you reach 80/180, the percentage of getting a supreme goes up 0.1% per 0.1 the counter increases.
Each single card summon will increase the counter by 0.1.

This means it will take 100 greater summons at a cost of 300,000 magicite to reach the 80/180 mark, or 800 single card summons at a cost of 400,000 magicite (see why greater summons are the way to go? :) )

If you were to use the method of paying real money (which many do, and I myself have to a very very small extent) to get 300,000 magicite it would cost the following :

(in GBP because I live in the UK)
£18.99 for 3000 magicite x 100 = £1899, or $2492, this is an expensive way to go, but there are people who do.

If you intend to spend money because you must have one of these awesome supreme cards, then buy the supreme ticket for the 12,500 magicite first buy (£69.99 here) from the purchase magicite section of the shop.
you can only do it one time, but they are seeming to be letting the tickets be brought more often now – so that could be the best way if your willing to drop money on your game.

After you begin and do all the novice areas you will have a good amount of magicite and summon tickets, whatever you do, don't spent it on anything other than summons, you will only regret it when you see things later on and can't afford to pull on the banners because you brought elixirs to keep doing games, or other items you really don't need to.

Use the cards given in tutorials to take you as far as possible, do the novice teachings, all of the chapters you can to completion, when you complete an area you will receive reward of summon tickets and magicite , remember : don't touch that magicite or summon ticket stash your accumulating!

So, to recap : save your magicite and summon tickets, wait for the right banners to come along, this means that when you finally decide to upgrade, you have a good amount of wealth to spend and there is a good banner to spend that hard earned magicite and summon ticket stash on finally.

“But RaK” I hear you ask “how will I know which banners are good to do this pulling on?”

WELL GRASSHOPPA! Fear not!! this is bringing me nicely on to my next (and probably most important) piece of advice :

Join the discord communities. there is a wealth of experts on them who are happy to talk you through things you might need to know, don't be worried about asking us either – we were all beginners at one point, I'm not even an expert, but I hang around with them to look cool. (Don't tell the ones I am usually interacting with that I said that - ESPECIALLY Mrow)

This will seriously be any players road to getting the right advice at the right time, from the correct people, as well as joining a social group (which the game lacks if you don't use Discord or a Facebook group)

This is somewhat wrong actually... so I will put the correct information below.

Blue: (doesn't exist)
Red: is a new 3* card
Green: is a new 4* card
Silver: is a duplicate of any star card you own, it can be 3* to 5*
Gold: is a new job
Rainbow: is a 4* supreme card or an ultimate hero (A skin to use with certain jobs)
