The New Testament of Evil Dwight -aka- The Bastion of Evil Ideology -aka- Alternative Survival in the Modern Era
By Evil Dwight
I, Dwight, Prophet of The Entity, have singlehandedly orchestrated the demise of countless of my fellow survivors. I have endured the agonized cries of my allies from the grim confines of closets, feverishly adhered myself to generators as my friends were pulled into the sky, and have even bargained for my life with dozens of killers in exchange for the blood of the innocent. I did these things and more, and eventually, I did them without hesitation.

This is a call, not only to Disciples of the Entity, but to all fogdwellers with ears unbloodied enough to listen. I have dwelt amidst the influence of The Entity for unknowable lengths of time. Through this influence, I have been imparted with a rare glimpse of the powers that lie within: the powers that blur the line between survivor and killer. I have read the scattered texts and seen firsthand how one Chemist's avarice for this knowledge pushed him over that very line. Infamously, I have even been over that line myself. I am still unsure whether it is possible to cross back over this sinister Threshold...

What I do know is possible is the very thing which drives me to compose the manifesto before you now: that I may impart my knowledge of what lie beyond this Threshold to all other dwellers of the Fog. The knowledge you will find contained within this tome is invoked through the repetitive application of the practices set forth in "The Scriptures of Evil Dwight", the predecessor text to this one. Through its study and adherence, you will find yourself coming to the conclusions contained herein by your own Inspiration. This is the Inspiration of a Servant of The Entity, and without knowledge of it, one can never fully grasp their own place in the grand cacaphony that is our eternal blessed torment.

Praise the Entity, and all who participate in Its pristine carnival of holy despair.

Disclaimer: The Scriptures of Evil Dwight have been reviewed by official community moderators of Dead by Daylight, and lengthy steps have been taken to ensure they adhere to the restrictions forbidding griefing and its dissemination. The Prophet does not condone metagaming, griefing, cheating, or disrespect of the game experience in any way. I urge you to see for yourself that my assertions are derived entirely from honest gameplay, and the situations that arise from them are essential aspects of a true Horror Simulator. These scriptures are intended for In-Character, philosophical exploration of the game's existing documented mechanics and lore, and should not be interpreted as an encouragement of misconduct by anyone. This guide will follow in the spirit of the first in this regard.

Further, it is my suspicion that the developers of this game were cognisant of the dark potential of the perks they created, and by exploring and discussing them openly, in all their devious beauty, we will pave the way for more "creative" strategies to be implemented in the future. Praise MCote. Long Live Not_Queen.

Inspiration
The Prophet wandered the fog, preaching dark wisdom to all who could hear it, willing or otherwise. His lessons were brutal and his motives were morbid- a devoted projection of The Entity's will, wrought from the soul of a tortured man. Through pain and repitition, he grew to sense The Entity's intentions; he could feel it, hear it, and on abundant occasion, smell it. It led him to perform acts which would make the most hollow of Wraiths shudder, with an avarice that can only be described as full, corrupted indulgence.

Youtube - The Chemist: Hallowed Blight Cutscenes (click)

In the midst of a Hallowed Blight upon the realms of the Fog, The Prophet caught word of a kindred soul- an Alchemist who was pursuing the Dark Inspiration on a quest parallel to his own. The Chemist's investigation led him to consume the putrid essence that precipitated from the gruesome pustules dotting the landscape. The effects of this essence are closely tied to a fogdweller's grim journey beyond the Threshold, and it is a remarkably difficult stain to remove. Those who have encountered the pus frequently find their mental state deteriorating more quickly than they are able to expunge the taint. Indeed, the difficulty with which it would be removed, coupled with its tendency to spread when tampered with, surely only exacerbates the subject's maniacal compulsion.

Even still, when handled with scientific care, as is the case with the blighted Alchemist, the substance will leave its mark in invisible ways- ways which do not adhere to the laws of physics as understood by former dwellers of physical reality. The pus is merely a convenient vessel for the true poison, a conceptual contagion, in the form of thoughts, ideas, plans which ultimately invoke unignorable temptation. It would not be easily disputable to label this substance "Cursed", but as with many "Curses", it is simultaneously difficult for the subject to deny its resemblance to a blessing. Once again, this hampers one's ability to rend oneself from morbid Inspiration's stealthily tightening clutches. The seemingly natural and yet deplorable path taken by a Blighted fogdweller is one that could make a victim of even the most fortuitous of minds: a "slippery slope", if you will, that goads one toward darkness just as a moth is drawn to the light.

The Pus is not the only way one can be brought to Inspiration, however. All of the realms of the Entity are infused with trace amounts of Its will, and under the right circumstances a fogdweller may find themselves slowly Inspired by the oppressive barrage of situations surrounding them, not the subtlest of which manifests through what would commonly be identified on the surface as an "ally". Hard decisions and immense suffering exert well enough influence to compel the occasional wanderer over the Threshold. Likely, this threshold is not fully knowable, as all inhabitants of the Fog exist only to serve The Entity in some way- Rather, we must each conclude for ourselves where this Threshold lies, by our own definition, with the torturous understanding that approaching it will compromise one's own ability to define it.

Once this has been accomplished, a decision must be made- Will I attempt the impossible and steal what I can from just beyond the Threshold's border, or will I cross the Threshold permanently and embrace the role The Entity deems worthy of me?

As one who has been faced with this decision, I still have no assistance to offer on the topic of which choice is superior. To my knowledge, neither choice offers shelter from The Entity's will, and ultimately you will be twisted to Its end regardless of your decisions. Some, however, may find a modicum of comfort after having made this decision for themselves- those choosing to serve It being devoid of hope but highly capable of extracting it from the converse population who insist on clinging to eternal rebellion. Without both, The Entity cannot perform its essential biological functions for which we are all instrumental.

The Prophet's directive is to maintain this balance among the subjects of The Fog, always seeking to inflict Inspiration in the form of new and creative agonies while yet ensuring that the ember of hope is never fully snuffed out from the minds of the Rebellious.

This is the Inspiration.

Preface (Skip here for Gameplay)
So you've acquired a taste for Evil, but you're unsure where this form of gameplay fits into the modern Dead by Daylight meta?

Have no fear, for The Prophet has been hard at work, studiously gauging the potential for excitement and accomplishment oft left unaccounted for by common, benevolent-minded survivors.

Before getting very far though, I need to cover some bases:

1) I cannot stress enough that this guide and all related material are intended for clean, non-griefing, in-character amusement and experimentation only, and dabbling too deeply beyond the Threshold may push you into reportable "Griefing" territory. While my concepts may superficially seem malicious, I do not endorse or condone real griefing in any way. My goal is simply to describe Dead by Daylight's inherent potential for inducing questionable behavior in survivors and killers by its essential intended nature- often through very real example. Don't ever be degrading in post-game chat, just say "Praise" or "gg", and possibly explain yourself if you feel the need to.

2) I trust that you are interested enough to absorb the scriptures in their entirety at your own pace, but for the purposes of gameplay, only this middle section is necessary to put some fun (if admittedly slightly spurious and antagonistic) "alternative strategies" into practice. If you are a fan of the betrayal build described in The Scriptures, but are having trouble employing it in 2019, perhaps some of these tactics will catch your eye afresh.

3) I am going to assume you have read my previous guide, "The Scriptures of Evil Dwight". If this is not the case, please take the time to give it a look. It is similarly organized by style of content, separated by dividers in the index, where the first and third "books" are lore/fanfic heavy. In order to read this guide properly, I request that you at least read the middle section which is largely gameplay-focused, as the concepts described there will be heavily relied upon in this guide. Likely, only advanced Evil survivors will be able to take advantage of these tactics, if they haven't already.

Let's begin.
Evil 201: Application of Evil Concepts
For the Evilest tactics, spoilers will be used.

The Breadcrumbs of Inspiration
As he stalked his prey, the servant of The Entity listened to the whispers permeating the Fog. From his vantage point, he was able to witness many things previously untouched by the eyes of the innocent. Only by following in his footsteps would others come to truly know of the sinister truths he had learned.

This section is intended to provide insights gained through the exclusive and extended use of the Evil Dwight build described in the previous guide. The best way to learn these things is to use the build for yourself, to the point that it becomes a practiced motion. However, this is extremely difficult to accomplish in the current meta landscape without more thought. I will admit that the act of pulling off an Evil victory was simpler in the days when it was first concieved, by nature of its novelty. (Killers were not familiar with "meme" survivors in 2016, and were therefore easier to control.)

It is not unusual for a killer who encounters an Evil or flippant survivor to tunnel them on sight. This is the source of 2 major developments regarding the Evil strategy:

1) You must assume ALL subjects in the match are your enemies and your tools. The cloud of circumstances which contains the other survivors and the killer is your dark canvas. The original scriptures address this possibility, but this guide is going to assume this entirely, due to the current state of the game. Friendly killers are the exception, rather than the rule.

2) There is less opportunity to accidentally slip into "Griefable" cooperation with the killer. The rules for DbD forbid "Working with the opposite team to gain an advantage" word for word. This may play a part in discouraging killers from accepting your aid, and it should discourage you as well. Keep this in mind and always aim to eventually piss off the killer as you extract victory from your victims in other ways... ways which will be described here.

Through the Eyes of a Prophet

The first thing you will notice upon adopting the Evil build is just how much information it provides. There is the obvious: Bond and Object of Obsession consistently show the auras of the other players. But when your goal is different, this information adopts a new light. Additionally, Sole Survivor's indicator functionality has many niche benefits that are mostly killer-specific.

Some examples:

If you enter the match, proceed to the center, look around and Object does not light up, the killer is Michael Myers. He cannot be detected in tier 1, but he also will not see your Object aura.

While in a closet, you are aura-blind and aura-hidden, but you can use quick glances of Object along with the range of Sole Survivor to pinpoint the killer's location.

If Bond shows no players nearby, avoid signalling the killer with Object until you find someone.

If you have some tokens on Sole Survivor, but not all, spy on the killer by waiting until there is a heartbeat, then the moment it fades, look around. The killer will be facing/walking away from you and will not see. Use this to test the effective range of SS.

Experiment for yourself to see what other small insights you can glean from the build.

Playing as an Inspired survivor
Through careful study of the tools gifted to him, the Prophet slowly became more and more comfortable serving the Entity- trusting that It would provide for him in small ways along his journey.

I would not recommend trying to memorize everything about the Evil build and its many features- rather, I would look at the strategy as a game-mode change, similar to how No Mither alters many small things that arguably ease the pain of its drawbacks once practiced. You will grow more familiar with what you should and shouldn't do in the same way you learn anything in DbD- through repeated failure.

The Unhook Feint

Survivors are all about efficiency. If they are sure someone else is going for the unhook, they will go back to their tasks most of the time. An Evil survivor should know how to take advantage of this fact to trick their victims into letting each other bleed out to struggle phase. Hang out near the hook, keeping a look out with Bond. When a hero approaches, start "running for the save" and make sure you are visibly going to beat them there. When they see this, they should turn back around, never suspecting that you would be so sadistic as to not unhook... to the dismay of the victim. This maneuver can work in many scenarios at many different ranges from the hook, just so long as you visibly "claim" the rescue.

Generators - Metal or Meat?

The hardest part of the Evil build, once you Git Gud at using Object of Obsession safely, is knowing when to sandbag hard and when to ghost gens. This decision is based on how many metal (normal) generators and Meat Generators (Survivors) remain in the match. This concept is the single most indisputable proof that Evil is ingrained in the fundamental structure of Dead by Daylight (see previous guide). It is true that you need 5 generators of either kind out of the way in order for the trapdoor to appear, but the rate at which they are being completed will determine your actions.

-Scenario 1: Generators are being completed quickly
Sandbag now. The last thing you want is some of your victims escaping. Whenever the killer is in a chase, try to surprise the target with a fatally timed hip-check or pallet bonk. using an obstacle will briefly block off other survivors, and spamming or slow-vaulting it is even better (be wary of machetes!). By the time the victim catches on, it is too late to turn around.
When the killer is not in a chase, patrol gens so they don't have to, taking advantage of Bond. Do everything you can to pull the killer onto the right gens, then
stay out of the way when ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan. Slip out the hatch once everyone else in the match has done all the work for you. Never sandbag needlessly. See original guide for arguments as to whether or not this is a legal strategy in this case.
Video example (not me)

-Scenario 2: Players are dying quickly
You are a phantom. Expect little to no mercy, and don't try to offer anything to the killer- they do not need your help. To the maximum extent, forsake all teammates and focus 100% on that 2-metal-generators goalpost. The 3 meat generators will take care of themselves via inevitable hook spiraling/basement camp shenanigans. If extra gens get done, try to track down the hatch early. VERY early. Rescue as a last resort to extend the game and increase your odds.

-Scenario 2.a: Killer is protecting all gens (i.e. Ruin)
Ruin is extremely common and is a thorn in an Evil survivor's side. It is easy to assume things are going your way if you immediately start feeding The Entity, only to discover you have doomed yourself by completing meat generators far faster than you can singlehandedly do 2 metal ones. Always check for Ruin before setting about your grisly work.
The key to achieving a "Praise" (aka an evil victory) is balance.
Evil Builds & the Perks That Inspire Them
Prophet Mode Evolution 2019
The Servant's heart raced louder and louder as doom approached. Thinking quickly, he searched for any tool he could use to divert its attention. His hand fell on a pebble, and with prophetic precision, he propelled it toward a bush concealing one of his peers. Relief washed over him as the pounding faded from his ears.

Diversion.

Enough said? No? Allow me to spell it out for you:
"press the Active Ability button while crouched and motionless to throw a pebble, which creates a loud noise notification for the Killer at a distance of 10/15/20 metres."
-Diversion perk description

An argument can be made that this is the 4th Evil Perk. It is jigsaw-fitted to work in conjunction with Object of Obsession and Bond for many reasons, the first being its namesake-diversion potential. If you give yourself away with Object by accident, this is your solution. And using Bond, you can make very certain the killer finds the target you intended for them instead of you. When playing rock-paper-machete, rock always wins.

Now for the less direct benefits: It charges when you are within terror radius. This is a mood booster for servants who Jiminy Cricket right behind the killer- this is the safest place to be when using Object of Obsession and now you have a new game plan: Follow the killer so you are close to the action and won't give yourself away with Object until you are ready. Once Diversion is charged, your job begins. Safely leave terror radius, then locate a victim. Flash Object to get the killer's attention. Once the heartbeat starts, Object will go dark and the killer will momentarily lose track of you if you're careful. This is the time to use your diversion. Rinse and repeat to complete all the Meat Generators.

Note: Diversion range is about half of Bond range.

The original guide suggested using gestures to guide incoming killers onto your prey. Not only was this an inaccurate directing method, (often resulting in the killer only being confused and subsequently enraged,) but modern times suggest the killer is unlikely to accept your honest advice. Diversion is a pure upgrade to this action, not only giving pinpoint accuracy but also the ability to direct even hostile killers. The other survivors are not notified in any way when you use it. Your opponents may all have morbid intentions for you, but make any target easier than yourself and the killer cannot resist.

"You don't have to be faster than the grizzly bear, just faster than your friends."

More Modern variations of "Evil Builds":
-Replace Sole Survivor with Distortion
Distortion is the latest and greatest in aura protection. Much of the Evil strategy revolves around not giving yourself away early. Distortion gives you 3 opportunities to use Object of Obsession consequence-free at the beginning of the match. Note: As the match starts and you can't control your character while the camera pans, Object will still activate. Sometimes this will immediately betray you. Distortion will spend 1 token to prevent this. Don't forget that you are sacrificing your late-game prophet mode potential in exchange for this, but it is an excellent way to get practice with OoO.

-Replace Bond with Aftercare, and bring WGLF
In a "We're Gonna Live Forever" build, you are aiming to earn as much BP as possible and get as many unhooks as possible. It's safe to say that the fate of your teammates is irrelevant to the farming potential of WGLF. Simply do what comes naturally, until you have all your WGLF tokens. Aftercare will then give you great information for the meat-generator completion phase. It can be ideal to intentionally let a survivor hang until entering Struggle Phase. This way, they are out of the match after only one more hook.

-Use Windows of Opportunityfor sandbagging
If you would prefer an even more active sabotage tool than Diversion, this perk will lend itself to helping you cut off victims at obstacles. Just pretend you are a bear trap. Survivors are highly likely to use the chokepoints provided by chase breakers. Make sure they regret this by using Windows of Opportunity aggressively and preemptively.

-Malicious Autodidact
twice per match, you can succeed a skillcheck to dramatically reduce the healing progress of another player. This amplifies the strategy of healing teammates while attracting the killer. Step 1: locate a wounded survivor and begin healing. Step 2: look at the killer with OoO and fail some skillchecks by spamming spacebar. This should get their attention with sound pips. Step 3: once the killer sees the healing and is on the way, continue healing so as to pin down the victim. Hit an Autodidact skillcheck now to make sure the heal takes painfully long. Step 4: Leave your stinkbait wounded at 99% to maximize their doom. A desperate survivor will often fall for this and won't be expecting the ambush from the killer, unlike you.

Always consider the malicious potential of newly released perks. They will often go unaccounted for by altruistic players.
Evil Tips & Killer Quick-reference
Killer-Specific Tips

Trapper:
A clever Evil survivor may be able to "encourage" other survivors to stumble into bear traps. By watching the killer, you will see where his traps are, and through innocent displays and gestures you may have some success convincing survivors to entrap themselves by for example, standing next to a trap and requesting healing.
Wraith:
His terror radius is 0 when invisible, meaning he is 100% visible to only you. Use this to hide better, or to trigger an ambush on your group by revealing yourself with OoO. You will have immensely more warning than the others. An invisible wraith is also seemingly easier to introduce yourself to.
Hillbilly:
When he is chainsawing his vision is more tunneled, and he is safer to spy on. If you are near players and Billy is on his way, try to position them between him and you.
Nurse:
Every time she blinks, she looks at the ground. Use this window to spy on her. If you can count the warps, wait about 1.5 seconds, then take a quick glance, you should be safe.
Hag:
Use Object to see where she places her traps, similar to Trapper.
Huntress:
Her terror radius is small but her song is large. Calculate safe spying distance based on this sound and the number of Sole Survivor tokens you have.
Michael Myers:
A very special match-up for a servant. Myers is undetectable in Tier 1. Try to feed him stalk to tier 2 so you can read his aura, or to 3 if he is targeting someone else. The small terror radius is ideal for OoO/SS use. It can also make him a sneaky ambusher like Wraith- follow same group ambush tactic.
Leatherface:
It is all about the hook spiral. He is pretty easy to avoid with Object so long as he has something to chew on. Play the bait game with hooked survivors until everyone else winds up getting basement camped.
Doctor:
This one is tough, as he uses more detection than you would like. Try to be near others whenever possible and spend a lot of time in closets or spying with OoO. Diversion still charges in closets. Restraint addon is bad- avoid clones that linger curiously long.
Freddy Krueger:
OoO still goes off while asleep, but the terror radius is removed, thereby giving you OoO for free. This is extremely dangerous while everyone is alive, but there is a method. Step 1: Stay awake and alive until someone dies. Step 2: fall asleep, and generally avoid waking up. Step 3: stay within Sole Survivor range, or protect your aura via closets and terror radius until everyone else is dead. You can now tail Freddy pretty easily, so long as you stay on your toes. This is a fun one to pull off.
Pig:
When crawling around you can see her aura, as there is no terror radius. This can be good or bad, depending on how close she is. Follow previous stealth-killer strategy when she is sneaking and play dirty when she is running. Finish gens to start your teammates' headtrap timers.
Clown:
Just don't get caught. His power has no real implications for an Evil survivor, but they are generally very aggressive and easy to piss off. Play passively, or use clandestine methods of betrayal. (Diversion)
Spirit:
Very susceptible to giveaways and sounds- but winning also comes down to some luck. You want to attract her towards survivors, but stay as far out of the way as possible when she arrives. It is difficult to come out on top in this coin toss.
Legion:
An angry killer who is not interested in shenanigans. Just stay out of terror as much as possible and try to ghost the match. If you get spotted, make sure you are near others so legion will leave you alone once the frenzy indicators appear. You can then mend safely while everyone else dies.
Plague:
Similar to clown; a no-nonsense killer that is more than happy to puke on anything that moves. Get survivors sick as much as you can, and feed the plague fountains. The plague is most dangerous to survivors that are trying to get gens done. You are not one of these survivors.
Ghost Face:
A kindred soul to us servants, he holds little for you to take advantage of specifically. However, you are likely to experience plenty of quirky moments with any player who prefers the teabagging killer. As he is a normal stealth killer, you can induce ambushes, or kite him with OoO.
Demogorgon:
Most Gorgs I meet are very vindictive, and are very difficult to get through to, as they usually run with a very specific plan in mind. This also makes them highly smell-oriented in chases, often preferring the mechanically easiest target - meaning anyone in the path of a chase is not safe. This goes both ways.
Redemption Dwight

No Mither, Deliverance, Tenacity, Decisive Strike
The dejected Prophet, banished from the service of his Master and horribly scarred, found himself in the position of his victims once again. But he could not purge the knowledge of darkness from his mind. He still took advantage of it where he could.

This is the challenge build I use when I am not feeling particulary malicious. I am compelled to share it here, as it can still incorporate many of the concepts relating to Evil strategies.

This section is being updated to reflect the changes to Decisive Strike, check back soon

I understand the apprehension surrounding No Mither, and I cannot deny that it takes a special kind of masochistic survivor to even spend bloodpoints on it. I trust you are one of these survivors. Like the Evil build, the Redemption build has a lot of quirky potential once you overcome the initial practice phase.

Many No Mitherers saw the potential for Deliverance when it was relesed due to the "Broken" status it carried. An Un-Mithered survivor has nothing to fear from the drawback of the perk. The key is to make sure someone else is hooked first. This is where the rest of the build and Evil ideology come in. As with the Evil build, you are likely to be the obsession and very likely to be focused by the killer thanks to your "stinkbait status". Through the skillful use of looping and Decisive Strike, you will be able to occupy the killer for obscene lengths of time despite being wounded. On one hand, failure is disastrous. Missing decisive strike early in the match is a guarantee that Deliverance will be wasted, as getting hooked before charging Deliverance renders it worthless. On the other hand, if you are able to use your evil tendencies to move the chase to someone less capable than yourself, and unhook them, you will find yourself in posession of delicious resources to respond to being downed. A Redemption Dwight with deliverance and DS charged up is the primest of prime loop bait.

The reason it is called the Redemption build is because once Deliverance is charged, you have no reason to malign your teammates. After the initial pain, your teammates will praise your ability to captivate the killer's attention. Be as brazen as you can in this situation and never miss an opportunity to provide cover for your team. Flashlights have a high potential for use here.

In order to ensure this movement to second phase, the last perk of the build comes into play- Tenacity. You now have 3 ideal responses to being downed, listed here in priority order:

1) Crawl away. This is a surprisingly gratifying plan, and if you happen to go down in a bizarre situation (Pallet simo, killer is carrying someone, killer is tunneling someone), you are provided with a unique opportunity to worm your way into tall grass at 2x the normal speed. I have often crawled away from a pallet stun/hit only to have the killer sniff in all the wrong corners after kicking it, as I am rapidly slugging away to safety at confusing speeds. With No Mither, you can resurrect yourself to "full hp" an unlimited number of times, and with Tenacity, you can do it while army-crawling. This is your first line of defense, and is likely to fail in most common situations. Aim to troll and interfere with the killer at times when he has no good sense to immediately hook you. The more you can take advantage of this first option, the better you will fair as Redemption Dwight. Deerstalker is a death sentence.

2) Decisive strike. You MUST succeed the skillcheck if you don't have deliverance charged, or else the build is for nothing. For beginners, this will be the kicker. Do everything in your power to avoid being the first one hooked- get in a closet as soon as the match starts until you get the signal that the killer is occupied. DS is your airbag, a one-time get out of jail free card that keeps your victory bookmarked. Judge your success based on how many generators your teammates are able to complete while you distract. A 3+ generator-long chase is what I aim for.

3) Deliverance. The ultimate backup plan and the centerpiece of the build. As you are obviously playing as stinkbait, pulling this off is the maximum egg-on-the-face of the killer. Ideal use is at the very end of the game, with 1 or 0 generators remaining. The amount of generator pressure that this act counters is a nail in the killer's coffin. 90% of the time, they will turn right around and try to retrieve you as your teammates open the gates. It induces more confusion in the killer as they may think you were unhooked by someone else, thanks to No Mither obscuring the "Broken" effect. This can easily disrupt the arrangement of survivors in the killer's head. This is an actual "mind game", as opposed to the term that players like to throw around in reference to boring, uncreative situations.

A key might be a wise choice of item with this build, as your safety systems should carry you far enough to find the trap door early. Abort and leave this way if all your defenses are spent (Requires a minimum of 1 meat generators completed).

Servants need not adhere to the Strictures when employing "Redemption Dwight". Your goal is common survival, and betrayal is only slightly necessary for this end. But you may still earn favor by remembering to doom at least one innocent life, even your own. Giving your life to ensure the escape of your fellows is as acceptable as the alternative. Spark the ember of hope in your peers, so that it may be harvested in all its sweetness at a later date.

Concluding thoughts
My goal with these guides is always to enlighten. I hope I have gotten your gears turning enough to prove that in the Horror PvP genre, nothing is certain and outcomes can be decided by the touch of a feather and in the blink of an eye. Fate balances on the head of a pin, and when it topples, nobody can be expected to behave rationally 100% of the time. By absorbing this wisdom, you will find yourself much more comfortable navigating the Fog. Even if you are not Evil at heart, understanding these concepts will give you an axis of information during your matches that you will find invaluable. Eventually, all seasoned players come to understand the difficult decisions they are faced with and will commonly resort to forsaking their teammates in discouraging situations.

I invite you to look at Dead by Daylight through this new light, and instead of raging at the other players for the outcomes of your games, Praise them and understand that this game is meant to be a generator of horrific situations that you rarely get to experience in real life. When you fall victim to farming, tunneling, camping, or even sandbagging, remember that there are far worse things that could be inflicted upon you than death in a video game. For me, Dead by Daylight is an opportunity to experience extreme duress and hone my own ability to make split-second decisions in critical situations. Anything I can do to amplify that experience is a valuable spare-time investment in my mind.

The Four Praises of The Prophet:
Praise to The Entity, and Its Servant Dwight
Praise to the Survivors, who are Its fruit, salty and ripe for harvest
Praise to the Killers, for they are Its harvesters, wielders of death
Praise to all in the Fog, participating in Its pristine carnival of holy despair
Praise.

Evil Dwight  [author] 9 Aug, 2019 @ 11:03pm
The changes to the endgame have dawned a new era of opportunities for ponderers of the philosophy of Discretionary Altruism. While the vast majority of the guides' content still stands in the face of the changes, the potentials presented by the latest developments passed down by The Entity will likely warrant their own tertiary installment. Changes will be made at this time to the previous guides to address obsolete features. Until then, I encourage devotees to seek out and interpret the Entity's will through the signs which permeate the Fog. If you know what to look for, you will find It, more easily now than ever before.

(I realize they really deserve an update, and there is great stuff to talk about. Rest assured that Evil is not dead, but likely stronger than ever. I definitely plan on discussing the new stuff at great length, I just can't say when atm.)

Praise to the Survivors, who are Its fruit, salty and ripe for the harvest.
