So my question, back in old TSW I ran a pistol/AR combo for that re-dunkulous pvp DPS alongside decent PvE too, mainly ran passives from blade and elemental for the pen ratings alongside the crit boost ability that used to be in one of the misc trees.
From what I did play of SWL I forced a AR/Pistol build again but couldn't help but think that the raw damage output and general viability of the build was ruined on the change to Legends mainly due to the change in how passives worked limiting my ability to pick up the Pen abilities from blade or the stacking extra damage abilities from Elemental (The ultimate passive from elemental where it stacked pen every 3rd pen added an extra attack was so busted.)
My question is: As far as that toon is concerned should I be looking for a point reset and how can you make AR/Pistol viable if you can make it viable at all. Thanks!
The short version is it depends on your play style, but for hammer and pistols I reccomend crit, and block, and don't invest purely into attack or you won't be able to gain some of the hammer benifits.
