T:ANE Guide To Freeware and Payware websites
By ArrivedKnight7
Have you ever wanted more trains, but don't know where to look for them? Have you ever wanted more user created content that you can buy? Look no further! This guide will help you find some of the common TRAINZ Freeware/Payware items that you can choose from! Keep in mind all content belongs to their respected owners and user created websites! Most sites will either require you to create a login in order to download any content, but it is usually free to create one. So far this guide will list the few websites that I have commonly used in the past. If you know of any other freeware/payware websites that you would like to share about, Let me know, and I will update this guide again. If any content downloaded from these sites do not work, you will either have to download the missing dependencies from the Download Station,The files may be corrupted, or the content is not compatible with the current version of TRAINZ(AKA. It's probably made for TS12). Most sites will either use Internet explorer, Microsoft edge, Google chrome, Firefox, and opera.

@Elmdrive32 out of all of the Trainz content routes do tend to just be on the DLS. However! There are quite a few out there. There's a fair few on Jointed Rail and Trainz Forge, with quite a decent amount being freeware. Approach Medium has a few routes on Jointed Rail but he also has a few on his site. And then there's greattrainlayouts.com for Nick Ozorak's personal repository of free model railroad inspired routes! And mal39trainz has a boatload of model train layouts for free!

Aside from that you'll just have to familiarize yourself with some DLS creators like Philskene, KotangaGirl, Driver_Col, pepperref, PennsylvaniaRR01 (they've revamped a lot of cool routes). Really it's a bit of a searching game... tho pro tip, if you want to refine your search on the DLS then check 'Trainz' where it lists the versions. Then you'll be able to search by country and time period :D

I know I'm Hella late to the party, but does anyone know good sites to find shay locomotives, I've recently gained an obsession for geared locomotives, and I can't find any except for the climaxes on trainz forge, for context, I use T: ANE so yea, I'd appreciate some suggestions.
