Initially, the creators planned to remove the restart of the sensational film, but then it was decided to make it a continuation of the first part, the events of which unfold 40 years later. In the horror "Halloween" several storylines that are intertwined when the very bloodthirsty maniac Michael Myers is at liberty. At the beginning of the story, we meet two journalists who decide to investigate crimes committed by the villain almost forty years ago. Then he brutally killed four teenagers. After his detention, Myers was declared insane, which helped him to go to a mental hospital instead of prison. There he almost died at the hands of his own psychiatrist, shocked by the terrible information that the patient had told him. Reporters visit the villain and try to talk him, but they do not succeed. As a result, they are sent back to the editorial office, not suspecting that after a few hours the bus carrying Michael and about a dozen more patients will get into an accident. As a result, all the mentally ill are released. Myers manages to track down the journalists who came to him. Maniac kidnaps his mask from them and goes to Haddonfield to find and kill Laurie Stroud, who has a daughter Karen and a granddaughter Allison.

Изначально создатели планировали снять перезапуск нашумевшего фильма, но затем было решено сделать из него продолжение первой части, события которой разворачиваются 40 лет спустя. В хорроре «Хэллоуин» несколько сюжетных линий, которые переплетутся, когда на свободе окажется тот самый кровожадный маньяк – Майкл Майерс. В начале повествования мы знакомимся с двумя журналистами, которые решают расследовать преступления, совершённые злодеем почти сорок лет назад. Тогда он жестоко убил четырёх подростков. После задержания Майерс был признан невменяемым, что помогло ему попасть в психиатрическую больницу вместо тюрьмы. Там он едва не погиб от руки собственного психиатра, шокированного той жуткой информацией, которую ему рассказал пациент. Репортёры посещают злодея и пытаются разговорить его, но у них это не получается. В итоге они отправляются обратно в редакцию, не подозревая, что спустя несколько часов автобус, перевозящий Майкла и ещё около десятка пациентов, попадёт в аварию. В результате все душевнобольные оказываются на свободе. Майерсу удаётся выследить приходивших к нему журналистов. Маньяк похищает у них свою маску и отправляется в Хэддонфилд, чтобы найти и убить Лори Строуд, у которой есть дочь Карен и внучка Эллисон.
