Allows units to embark upon discovering sailing.

This mod will be particularly useful for people playing on TSL maps as civs such as the Celts, England and Indonesia, as well as many other island-bound civs to come.

Oops! Nevermind! I spoke too soon. I actually think I just figured out how to do it. Just one last quick question: would you ever mind creating some spare mods in return for a bounty, of sorts? I have some good ideas for mods that I would like to utilize, in game. Please let me know what you think!

@Thomas: You could effectively achieve that by putting embarking as a part of the agriculture tech which every civ starts the game with. It would pretty much involve creating an SQL file with this text:

UPDATE Technologies SET AllowsEmbarking = 0;
UPDATE Technologies SET AllowsEmbarking = 1 WHERE Type = 'TECH_AGRICULTURE';

Re Polynesia, not my area of expertise I'm afraid, haha.

I'd wager it's compatible with all versions of Civ 5. I'm using it in BNW and having no issues.
