Impossible Mission and 6 minutes of Madness
By ThunderCWB
This game is indeed hard to clear, there is no way a guide would be enough to make it easier, but since I'm not that skilled i might help other persistent completionists to clear this, but i'll tell this first: The final two achievments Impossible Mission and 6 Minutes Madness are in a league beyond the rest, so watch some gameplays to see if you can rise to the challenge, because even with all the tips you will have to improve your skill enough to do it, there is no way around it.

First things first
The final two achievments are so much more difficult than the others that if you feel you struggled too much before getting to the final ones, perhaps you should consider if you really want to spend hours on it. I took more time on the final 2 than all the rest combined.

One piece of good news(maybe) is that it's veeeery unlikely to someone get to the end of hell with less than 1.000.000 points, so you will get this other achievment alongside with Impossible Mission.

There are a few things one must master to get far in this game:

1- The patern of movement and attack of all enemies.

On ninja mode, you wont have time analyse the situation, knowing this will save you a lot of lifes.

2- How to kill the bosses fast and losing zero lifes most of the time (except torment, that F%$#).

After you get more used to the game and you start going after the harder achievments, spend some time in the Boss Rush mode, after you feel confortable fighting the bosses it will be one thing less to worry. The bosses are the most predictable thing in the game, you can really learn how to deal with them effectively with small effort.

3- Master a build.

I researched about the game to find stuff to help me with it and i saw that the people who have the achievments they used different builds and I use a yet different build from them, so you just have to master the one you prefer.

Melee Weapon
I saw many people using the lightsaber mainly, because of the red skeleton and the spiky guy, its a huge deal to not have to worry as much about those guys, so its a good one to choose. I mastered the Kusarigama, breaking spikes and the long reach are things i just could not go without after getting used to.

Ranged
Most people use the boomerang. It goes through walls and has no ammo, you will get more "$" drops instead of ammo for it so you will gain more lifes getting faster to the 100.000 points. I liked the shorter range one, it is better to fight Abarghus, for some reason it hits Abarghus 3 times when you throw it from medium range. I prefer the upgraded axe, it is hard to master, but deals 2 damage, wich kills a lot of things, kills bosses faster, hit above and under. It is indeed more difficult to use then other weapons but i used it to the harder achievments and it worked nicely for me. The Scorpion hook is very good too and mastering it would help greatly in hell and speed runs.

Bombs
This one was the one the varied the most. Pick the one you like. I chose the shrapnel bomb, the sticking to walls is very usefull an d the shrapnel deals demage with each fragment so it helps in many situations, but thats the one i liked, but most of them have there advantages.

Scythe and dynamite

Those two are kind of mandatory to master, the scythe decreases your time like nothing else and the dynamite makes shortcuts, you will have to learn how to use them properly so if you want to be practical, go for them and it will save you time to learn later on. It is possible to finish the speedrun mode without the scythe, but it is very unlikely, one friend of mine said he barely did it with the lightsaber, but he was the only one i ever heard.
Learning where to use dynamite will help you in the speedrun and in hell, you can skip many troublesome sections with it.

Jump+down attack, a.k.a. piledrive

Every weapon does the same demage(3) while piledriving or spining attack, it is the best way to kill tougher enemies. You will need to perform it well. YOU WILL USE IT ALL THE TIME.

The build i used to get to floor 1000 of hell: Super Kusarigama, Upgraded Axe, TNT and Fire Magic. The reach of kusarigama and spike-breaking is vey good, i got so used to the axe that some sections became easy with it ann TNT allows you to skip entire sections. Fire magic seems to hit more enemies in areas I have trouble with. All magics will make you invulnarable long enough to avoid one or two hits, using it timely is the trick.

The build i used to get 6 minutes madness: Scythe, Upgraded Axe, Remote Bombs and Wind Magic. The bombs and the magic are mainly to kill the final boss faster, pretty much they are all harder to use but they reduce the time, the magic and bombs are just to kill the final boss faster, which is the longest part of it.
Bosses
To be able to speedrun in the hardest difficulty, you have to first train enough in the boss rush mode to be able to kill the bosses as flawless as you can. They are predictable, so in a way it is easier than the descending part. Dont mind too much HORROR and DISGUST, pay attention to the time you take to kill the rest of the guys. You should be able to kill the first two bosses in around 15 seconds, all of the early bosses can be killed in few cycles, even DOOM, though i have no idea about how to kill it fast without the axes, but i'm sure there are plenty of ways.

The main point is: GIT GUD, Learn to kill the bosses first, before going for the real thing.

Spite - Don't bother trying to hit it in the ground, use ranged weapons while jumping.

Torment - As i said, I could not learn to kill it in a pretty way, in fact, this is the guy i hate the most. I just use bombs and jump+down attack in it, losing one life in the process(if you have magic, use it first then you can hit two times while invulnarable). Saving time is more important than having one extra life. Jump+down attack deals 3 demage and Torment doesn't move much when near you. You can hold down and charge jump and then jump+down, you will avoid its charge and hit it for 3 demage, but its dificult to pull off. Since the EX version moves faster, is even harder. Shrapnel bomb will demage it while it walks over it, is a very good option, but shrapnel bomb doesn't help against the final boss. The best way I kill it so far was like this, in this order: remote bomb(3 dmg) > magic (3 dmg) > 2 jump+down attacks, no lifes lost. the jump+down attacks will work better near the wall. You can jump over him with just double jump, but i dont really know the trick, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Rage - It seems rage appears if you lost few or none lives. I kill it throwing axes easily, but it should not be the same with other ranged weapons because if he is too high in the wall, it wont reach him. Just run to the other side while he is diving then jump+down on him while he goes back to the wall. If he goes in your direction, throw stuff too.

-Likewise Rage, Doom only appears if you are doing well. If you enter the boss room dashing, it will be in range of axes, if you jump you can get one or two hits even before the fight actually starts. You just have to pay attention to the ranged attack of the statues, because it should be easy enough to dodge the Doom-stomp with the scythe. if you time it well enough with the axes, you can kill it in the first cycle. If you don't kill it in the second cycle, you are doing it wrong(with the axes at least. I never faced this boss seriously with other weapon, so i don't know if killing it with other weapons can be done in two cycles.). Taking more then 2 cycles to kill this guy will make reaching the end on time very hard.

- One Armed - This guy was tricky. Killing him with the scythe is a pain, and on top of that, you have to hit him at least two times in one go or it takes too much time. He has 10 life, so the ideal would be to hit him 2 times for 6 damage the do that again. You can hit him 3 times in one go, but its not really necessary, cause you need two cycles anyway. But if you messed up and lost one attack, in the second oppening you can go for the 3 attacks and you won't even lose a life, since he will die before you touch him. I believe if you mess one of the openings while facing him its ok, but more than that probably will be enough to be off those final seconds.

Abarghus is not really hard to master, but killing it fast is troublesome. If you get there with at least 3 lifes and a wind spell, you are most likely fine. After the first time he lowers the thing, he will be vulnarable to the wind magic that deals 3 demage. So with two of those you can shave one entire cycle of this battle. Axes deals 2 demage and remote bombs deals 3. You can either attack two times with something else then pop a bomb on the thing, or an axe+bomb to deal the 5 demage. Going for 4 demage per cycle will increase the fight by one cycle, so learning to hit it with the remote bomb is very important to save time. I dont think there is another way to get to 5 damage without hitting it with a bomb.
Dodgin the claw attack: If you charge-jump right before the claw attack, you wont get hit and you will be near the lump that floats. Its not a big deal but every little bit helps.

Train all that in Boss rush mode first and after clearing the lesser difficulties. Doing it in order of difficulty serves as training.

Descending
Going for Impossible Mission First will help you doing 6 minutes ninja... because you also need to GIT GUD to do this, but the dungeons are so different that you will have to pretty much learn two different ways of running them through.

Even though Impossible Mission is not a speed run, make no mistake, if you slack off, you will die. You have 30 seconds to get to the next clock and each section is demanding. Because of that, everytime you find a time extension, if death is not already giving you sniffs, search around before getting it, sometimes you can get extra drops like that, or even giving a look in what is to come sometimes is worth.

Some of the hardest sections from hell can be skipped entirely with some TNT, saving you time and lifes. You will see which are those in a matter of some runs.

Get the fairies you can, after a while, you will get lifes through points, most times i went past 900th floor i had a whole gang flying after me. There are some fairies i don't go for because i'll most likely lose a life to get them, but most of them can be reached without losing lifes.

Do not spaw bombs or projectiles, the longer you go with full inventory, the more you will find cash bonus instead of ammo, and every cash-drop you pick is 100 extra points in every other cash-drop you pick. So if you end getting around of 50 of those(which is pretty normal if you live long enough) its 50.000 extra points + bonuses from fairies. Makes a lot of difference in extra lifes you get.

Going down in sppedrun mode is very frustrating. it took me many many hours to finally get it right and i didn't even learn how to do the scythe-fly-animation-cancel-crazy-fast-thingy. I'm sure if i could've learn it, things would've been easier, but I'm here to say I did it without this technic, but is slower enough to make it so much harder... I compensated killing the bosses crazly fast(i have or at least had one of the top 10 times in boss rush). A friend of mine said he did it using the lightsaber, which means he also didn't use the scythe technic, but boy, try learning it if you can, i wish i could.

If while descending you time goes beyond a certain amount, just start over. Same thing if you lose lifes too early. You have to get to One armed in around 4:30 so you can finish it all before 6:00. And Believe me, if you finish it in 6:00:02 you wont get the achievment(WONDER HOW I KNOW IT?). maybe with 6:00:00, but that is still not less than 6:00, so you might not get it still (its says "LESS THAN 6")

The third part of the tower, the sanctum, is longer and harder so it will take more time, which means you can't clear the first two parts in 1:30 or you wont make it in time. I was clearing the first part regularly in around 1:10, and the second part in 1:20, combined 2:30, which left me with 2 minutes for the third part, every second counts.

Funny thing was that in my sucessful run I did'nt do very well in the final part, the randomnes of this game is a big deal, in a good way.

As I said in the beggining, there is no easy way to clear this game. There are more than one way though, nonetheless you will have to master a build to do it. I'm the only guy i saw that used the axe, go for what works better for you.

If i forgot some important details, i'll add them as people go pointing them out. Its is my first guide ever and i did it because i really had to study this game to clear it, so taking the time to write all this was just a bit more. If it helps you, I'd be glad to know.

You can super jump (hold down for a few seconds then jump) over torment. Makes the fight a lot easier so you don't have to do near frame perfect double jumps.

It's probably a matter of playstyle. I really really have less trouble with any other boss. I did went for downward attacks in the end. I hope you got some usefulness from my guide. Thanks.

good quality! also found it funny that you had so much trouble with torment. I just jump attack over him when he charges then turn around and spam projectiles. I faithfully believe him to be the easiest boss. And you can downward attack spite for a much faster kill instead of using projectiles. But props to you for completing impossible mission!
