A Guide To The Shogun Total War Community
By Kav and 1 collaborators
This guide is intended to be a central HUB for all TW information. I will feature the various great clans, some of which have been present ever since Shogun: Total War way back in 2000. I will also feature the various Youtubers, Tournament Groups and Website that are keeping this community running strong.

About the author: My name is Kav and I have been on the Total War train since Rome I. I am a competative player who participates regularly in online Shogun 2 tournaments. I am a member of RTK, one of the oldest Total War clans going and (in my opinion) the best :)

About the contributor: Boss has been my 2v2 partner in Total War games since mid 2012. With a skill level almost identical to mine we make a great team. He also hails from RTK and will be happy to help with multiplayer advice.

The Great Clans of Total War
When it comes to Total War ive been around since Rome 1, but i never played multiplayer until Shogun 2: Total War. Many will notice I have left out a lot of clans, the reason for this is I am only featuring the main active clans in the current TW game; Shogun 2.

It's worth saying that most of the groups listed below are centered around pro tournaments and competition. I will be featuring another clan list for the casual total war gamers also.

The Clans

Like the look of any of these clans? Simply follow one of the links and get in touch with one of the Admins! They arent recruiting yet? Trust me when I say this, most of these great clans will open their doors to fresh talent once Rome 2 hits. My advice is get familiar with the clan you like the look of, try to get some games in with its members!

Competetive Clans

- Round Table Knights (Currently not Recruiting)
- Total War Rebels
- Vis et Honor
- The Brotherhood of Aggony
- Arcani (Recruiting)
- Lusitani Legio (Currently not Recruiting)
- Guardians of Avalon (Currently not Recruiting)
- Craftsmen of War
- Vandalen mit Sandalen
- AvantGarde
- Dutch Dokusai (Recruiting)
- Gerudo
- IRONS
- Templars

Non - Competative Clans

- Celtic Alliance (Recruiting)
- Forsaken Legion (Recruiting)

As of now this list is relatively short, have I missed your group out? Drop a comment below and I will take a look.

This is my first Total War game, owned it for years but never played past the tutorial haha the grand strategy seemed intimidating coming from mostly X-Com and tabletop strategy and this guide is making starting a lot less daunting. It's exactly what I've been looking for.

This was more a guide to the Shogun 2 community during its peak of popularity and competition. I could probably have named it better.

When I saw the title, I figured this might be an article explaining to new players how to navigate the pseudo historians and "Leet Gamers" who have no achievements and lean on mods to play Legendary.

People are still commenting on this! Well hes a nice enough person I am sure. But the simple fact that he didnt admit to losses, means he has no place in educating other TW players. Besides that was ages ago hehe im sure hes changed his ways (hope).
