Installing Just Cause 2 Mods

I know that nobody likes reading walls of text, so I'll get right to the tutorial.
Let's get started.

First, you must download a mod. Let's get one on
http://www.justcause2mods.com/.

Next, create an account if you didn't already.

Now, choose the mod that you'd like to install.

Click download, then open.

NOTE: You will need a zip files extracter, such as jzip to do this.
Then, go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Just Cause 2.
Now, follow this step VERY carefully. Create a new folder there, and name it Dropzone.
Now extract your mod files in that folder.

Once you've done this, you can launch Just Cause 2 and enjoy your new mod!

I have no idea at this point, I haven't played this game in well over half a decade. You'll have to do your own research to find out. As far as I know, the website is still the same as it was and hasn't shut down or changed ownership. As the website hosts user-generated content, there is always a certain level of risk involved with downloading files, as a malicious file may be uploaded as a mod - with that said, I never had that issue with modding games, just avoid new mods with 0 downloads, and don't run any exe files etc. and you should be fine, but I can't really tell you for sure.

I havent played just cause 2 in a VERY LONG TIME on pc about 3 pcs ago but is justcause2mods.com still a safe browser from any malicious content or viruses since its been out for ages?

I have to try it out, but following it was extremely easy. My only issue is that the website has a problem registering. But I could still download the mods I needed. I struggle with visibility on the map so I wanna get the whole game to 100%. I found a mod that helps with that.
