Random Enemies Squads' Numbers

Enemies squads' numbers is much more random now.
The overall game balance is still the same.

Example :
- Vanilla : a Dust Bandit Squad is composed of 9 or 10 members (so 9.5 members on average).
- Modded : a Dust Bandit Squad is composed of 1 to 19 members (so 10 members on average, like in vanilla).

Why this change?
When you start the game, you simply can't attack most squads, as they'll overpower you and your very little team.
Now, if you're lucky, you could find 1 Dust Bandit alone, waiting to be killed, and give you that sweet sweet XP.
And, if you're unlucky, you could also find 19 Dust Bandits thirsty for your blood and ready to rumble; giving you a perfect opportunity to train your athletics. ;)

So, do you feel lucky today?

as other people have said, this mod only works in theory, in practice you will end up facing huge squads that simply don't make any sense in kenshi balance, while smaller squads will barely be noticeable, just stay with vanilla

This mod causes squads of more than 100 individuals to be formed at some point that destroy everything.... be careful

I know this mod is from a while ago, but wouldn't it make more sense to have Modded squads be composed of 1 to 18 members to make it exactly 9.5 members on average like in vanilla? I just don't see the point in making the max 19 and changing the average when you could keep the average the same.
Dropped you two awards because this mod is fantastic! Thank you! :rosebud:

Loved this mod until a horde of Shek flooded the holy nation and wiped everyone out including vendors and shopkeepers; wouldn't recommend as now i'm starting over again...

@bossanova iic there are different type of squads for those factions in vanilla game. Like, horde variation. So that's working as intended and happens only to these types of squads

This mod does not function as advertised. What you actually end up with are absolutely gargantuan hordes, at least for starving bandits and fogmen. It makes me think that while the mod may well be properly adjusting the numbers, there might be a vanilla mechanic where squads join together. I installed this mid-playthrough, so my higher level characters were capable of dealing with the 50-100+ hordes of starving bandits and fogmen, but I imagine this makes parts of the map that were once easy zones impossible to travel through.

I'm unsure if I'll keep this mod on. I fear that stronger packs of enemies will quickly become insurmountable death balls. For now it's fun.

Be warned.

As great as this mod is. I've found that it's made practically every single spot on Kenshi a warzone. Hordes of landbats taking out trio's of black gorillos and anti-slaver armies. The fog islands and shrieking forest are both inhospitable because my computer can't take the NPC's. This mod is a monkey's paw wish granted. I have more people to fight and thus more XP to gain, but I'm running off 2 frames a minute.

What I'm saying is. Awesome mod, 10/10 would detonate my PC again.
