Achievement Translations, Descriptions and How-To's: A-F
Alektorophobia
Fear of Chickens
Kill a chicken.
For this achievement, you need to get a character with the Alektorophobic trait ("Chickens freak you out"). With this trait, some chicken legs (the things that give you health) you find may start walking away and damage you if you touch them. Attack it, and it'll turn back into a normal chicken leg and give health again. Doing so will grant you the achievement.

Astrophobia
Fear of Space
Defeat the asteroids.
Achievement for defeating the Remix of Herodotus: Astrodotus. They can only be fought in a New Game+ after re-defeating the regular version and acquiring their Obol from a Spiritual Shrine. You can upgrade your character for this fight at a donation box, for a price. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Atelophobia
Fear of Traits
Choose a hero with no traits.
All this one requires you to do is to pick a character with no traits. You'll get one randomly, shouldn't take too long.

Aurophilia
Love of Gold
Open your very first gold chest.
Gold chests are found as rewards for defeating mini-bosses. Mini-bosses are randomly encountered in random rooms in the castle. They are bigger, better, faster, stronger and harder to beat than the normal enemies. There are 4-5 different mini-bosses, such as two giant yellow skeletons, two black mages, or a giant portrait that might actually be a giant Doomvas. After defeating the boss(es), a blue chest with gold edges (such as the one in the image) will appear in the middle of the room. Open the chest and you will get the achievement.

Barophobia
Fear of Gravity
Use the special class at least once.
While working your way up the upgrade trees at the manor, you may eventually find the Half-Dragon class unlock at the top. You may also not find it. You'll have to press up at the Invulnerability upgrade (once you've got it). This takes you to the flag[i.imgur.com] with the Half-Dragon unlock. It'll cost you 5500, but it's worth it.

Bibliophilia
Love of Books
Read the last journal entry.
Sometimes you may stumble upon a small room with book cases and a table with an open book lay on top of it. For example, there is one of those in the beginning room of the castle. Each contain one of the 24 journal entries made by "the Prince". It'll take a while, but you'll eventually find them all. After having found the last entry, check back at the entry menu by opening the book again. This will grant you the achievement.

Biophobia
Fear of Life
Die 20 times or more.
Don't harm yourself, you are beautiful! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
Anyway, just play the game and you'll get this after a couple of lives.

Blennophobia
Fear of Slime
Defeat the boss in the Land of Darkness.
Achievement for defeating the fourth boss, Herodotus the Infinite. There's a boss guide at the bottom of the page, if you need one.

Cainotophilia
Love of Change
Have one rune equipped in every item slot.
After you find a rune within a Fairy Chest, the rune will be given to the Enchantress so you can purchase it to use in one of your five armor slots. After having found more runes, you'll eventually have at least one for every slot. Equip one in every slot, and you will get the achievement.

Chemophobia
Fear of Chemicals
Defeat the trademarked chemical.
Achievement for defeating the Remix of Ponce de Leon: Ponce de Freon. He can only be fought in a New Game+ after re-defeating the regular version and acquiring his Obol from a Spiritual Shrine. You can upgrade your character for this fight at a donation box, for a price. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Coulrophilia
Love of Clowns
Beat one of the clown's games at least once.
In most (not all) castles, a small carnival with a sarcastic sad clown will be hidden inside a room. He'll give you the chance to compete in a small game of either destroying 8 targets with 10 throwing knives or destroying 90 targets with 5 axes. If you win, he'll give you a reward alongside the achievement.

Decidophobia
Fear of Decisions
Put at least one point in every skill in the manor.
Get a bunch of money and spend it on every locked upgrade in the Manor. Don't forget to still invest in armor, runes and important stats such as health.

Disposophobia
Fear of Throwing Stuff Out
Find all blueprints (purchase not necessary).
In every non-Fairy chest you get a chance of finding a Blueprint for armor, which will then be available for purchase at the Blacksmith. So check every chest. The higher-level Blueprints won't drop 'till you've beaten the game at least once.
After a while, you may start to find less and less Blueprints and more gold in place, even after having beat the game. If this is true, try hunting for mini-bosses. Their chests have a good chance of containing a Blueprint. If that doesn't work for you, try to find a Secret Room. First, you'll have to find a Spiritual Shrine[i.imgur.com]. These are found in random rooms. Pray at it and hope you receive Calypso's Compass. This item will appear on top of your screen for that life and point towards the castle's Secret Room's door. Follow the arrow and press up once you've found the door. This will take you to a small room with two chests inside, with a high chance of containing Blueprints.
After having collected all the Blueprints, talk to the Blacksmith and you'll be awarded with an achievement.
Achievement Translations, Descriptions and How-To's: G-Z
Geminiphobia
Fear of Twins
Beat the game… twice.
After defeating the Final Boss, you may start a New Game+ with stronger enemies and better rewards. Beat this game too and you get the achievement. Have fun.

Gnosiophilia
Love of Knowledge
Find all the runes (purchase not necessary).
Open Fairy Chests for runes. Try to complete every Fairy Chest challenge you come across until you've gotten all the Runes. After having collected all the Runes, talk to the Enchantress and you will be awarded with the achievement. You don't need to buy any of the runes for this. Also, the Fairy Chests will now give Stat Upgrades.

Gymnophobia
Fear of Nudity
Have one piece of equipment in every item slot.
In every non-Fairy chest you get a chance of finding a Blueprint for armor. These will be given to the Blacksmith so you can purchase it to use in one of your five armor slots. After having found more Blueprints, you'll eventually have at least one for every slot. Equip one in every slot, and you will get the achievement.

Katagelasticism
Condition where one enjoys mocking others
Mock the traitor.
Achievement for facing the final boss while using the Traitor class, which can only be unlocked after defeating each Remixed boss. Defeating the final boss as Traitor is not necessary.

Ommetaphobia
Fear of Eyes
Defeat the boss in Castle Hamson.
Achievement for defeating the first boss, Khidr the Gatekeeper. Shouldn't be too hard. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Ostiophobia
Fear of Bones
Defeat the son.[/previewimg]
Achievement for defeating the Remix of Alexander: Alexander the IV. He can only be fought in a New Game+ after re-defeating the regular version and acquiring his Obol from a Spiritual Shrine. You can upgrade your character for this fight at a donation box, for a price. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Paterphobia
Fear of Fathers
Defeat the last boss.
Achievement for beating final boss, as well as the game, once. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Phasmophobia
Fear of Ghosts
Defeat the boss in the Forest Abkhazia.
Achievement for defeating the second boss, Alexander the Forgotten. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Plutophobia
Fear of Wealth
Reach level 50 or higher.
You gain one level for every time you upgrade something in the Manor. Get money and upgrade stuff.

Pyrophobia
Fear of Fire
Defeat the boss in the Maya.
Achievement for defeating the third boss, Ponce de Leon the Sentinel. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Rhabdophilia
Love of Magic
Earn your very first Enchantress rune.
Runes are found by opening Fairy Chests. You'll encounter Fairy Chests throughout the castle, almost always giving you a special challenge you have to complete to be allowed to unlock it. Complete the challenge to unlock the chest. Very rarely, an unlocked Fairy Chest might be hidden in a secret area within a room. Open any Fairy Chest to obtain a Rune, alongside the achievement.

Scotomaphobia
Fear of Blindness
Defeat the doppleganger.
Achievement for defeating the Remix of Khidr: Neo Khidr. He can only be fought in a New Game+ after re-defeating the regular version and acquiring his Obol from a Spiritual Shrine. You can upgrade your character for this fight at a donation box, for a price. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Somniphobia
Fear of Sleep
Play the game for at least 20 hours.
Play the game for a while, or just idle if you really want. After about 20 hours you'll get the achievement. It may take a bit to register.

Syngenesophobia
Fear of Relatives
Defeat the brothers.
Achievement for defeating the Remix of Johannes: The Brohannes. They can only be fought in a New Game+ after defeating every other Remix boss and acquiring their Obol from a Spiritual Shrine. You can upgrade your character for this fight at a donation box, for a price. Boss guide at the bottom of the page.

Thanatophobia
Fear of Death
WITHOUT using the Architect, complete the game dying 15 times or less
Added over four years since the last content update, here's one new achievement. As its description states, you'll have to beat a game (fresh game, no NG+) from start to finish within 15 deaths, without locking down the castle. When going for this achievement, try to focus on just the boss fights, as exploring unnecessarily means risking death without making progress towards the end of the game. Get a good loadout, hope for a good character, and kick excessive butt!

Zoophobia
Fear of Animals
Defeat all the minibosses.
Defeat every mini-boss at least once. The mini-bosses are two giant yellow skeletons, two giant black mages, two quickly moving (and projectile-spamming) plants, one black spear-wielding knight and a Doomtrait disguised as one of the big game portraits. When you beat the game, you'll be shown the times you've killed certain enemies. You can see which you still have to kill this way. Good luck!

As far as I know, the bosses' obols can drop only after the boss has been defeated but before defeating the final boss. In other words, if the boss' symbol in the golden door at the entrance of the castle is lit up, its obol might drop. So defeating all 4 bosses but then farming around instead of killing the final boss is the best way to get the obols.

Anybody have any tips or tricks or the Thanatophobia achievement? The guide here says it can’t be on New Game +, however, one video guide I watched mentioned that it’s easier to beat the remixed bosses and then go after the final boss (and this guide says that the remixed bosses are in New Game +).

I actually played this game years ago on PlayStation Vita and this achievement/trophy was the only one I didn’t get. Any tips on how to prepare for it/go for it on here will be greatly appreciated. ^^’

A quick note with the Somniphobia achievement.

One, I think you need to be in a room in the castle that isn't the starting room or outside, so just clear one out and leave it running.

Two, I don't think you can leave the game paused, so just leave the game running over night.

Three, and the big one. You NEED to die for the achievement to trigger. So once you think your character has been alive for long enough, jump into spikes or something, and the achievement will pop on the character select screen. Though if it doesn't just go back to square on and leave the game running for a bit longer.

The button combination worked just fine for me today. What I did was after earning all the other achievements I exited the program, started up the program again, and from that title screen did the combo.

No need to apologise, would be nice of the devs to have more descriptive indicators on the achievements themselves, but oh well. Gonna be a very difficult run from a fresh game to finish it in less than 15 deaths, but doubt I'll even attempt it. And of course, resetting the game would take away my current 17 hour progress towards the 20 hour achievement.....ffs lol

It seems that since the guide's last update, the achievement has been updated and removed the button combination method. And NG+ apparently doesn't work, so it's gotta be a fresh game. Updated to reflect the changes. Apologies for the inconvenience...
