Playdead is looking to venture out of the 2D/2.5D world:
https://www.pcgamer.com/limbo-and-inside-developer-is-tired-of-the-limitations-of-2d-games/
Playdead took all the great things from Limbo and then just built on that and produced a much more polished game with a freakish storyline and left it open for lots of interpretation. This is why INSIDE will be haunting my dreams for many years to come. The sights, sounds, level design and mechanics are always used for no longer than needed and the game keeps forging ahead. Nothing ever gets stale and although the puzzles might feel like a dumbed down Limbo, the developers were looking to satisfy the story junkies. This game was incredible.
