The Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) was the main fighting force for Meiji Period Japan (1868-1945). At its peak, the IJA consisted of approximately 6 million soilders. The IJA fought all around the world in various battles throughout history. The Russo-Japanese War, World War 1 and most imfamously, World War 2. From the barren tundras of Russia to the blistering heat of South East Asia, the IJA fought.
