How the WMC Works
The AW3 Weekly Map Competition is a map making competition (duh!) where entrants are tasked with making custom battles within Ancient Warfare 3 that adhere to a particular theme.

The competition runs from the start date and runs until the end date as advertised on Ancient Warfare 3's main menu. Once the end date is reached, the judge will play through all entries and decide upon a winner using a criteria found below.

The winning entry will then receive a £10 Steam Gift Card from the judge.
Rules
By taking part in this competition, you agree to abide by the following rules. Any infringement on this agreement may result in a permanent or temporary ban from the competition depending on severity and nature, as well as the cancellation of any reward given.

1) Your work must be your own. Using workshop items such as prefabs, models, scripts and custom units is allowed. However, you must not use maps already uploaded to the workshop, for example, templates. You may also ask for assistance from others in developing scripts or creating custom objects.
2) No re-using maps that have already been uploaded to the workshop.
3) Entrants may only submit 1 map per competition.
4) Map must be based on the given theme of that week's competition.
5) Judges may submit an entry, but cannot be chosen as a winner.
6) Maps must be submitted by Sunday 10:00 GMT 0 (United Kingdom Time Zone) at the latest. Any maps submitted after this time will be disqualified from the competition, though may still be featured.
7) In order for the judge to deliver the reward to the winning entrant, said entrant must be willing to accept a Steam friend request from the judge, with the delivery of the gift card taking place 3 days after the request has been accepted, in line with Steam’s T&C’s.
8) On the subject of collaboration, where two or more people want to work on the same map, this is allowed, but all authors must be listed as contributors on the item's workshop page. And only one author may get the prize if there is one. People involved in a collaboration cannot make their own separate entry.
Code of Conduct
By taking part in this competition, you agree to abide to the best of your abilities, and as can be reasonably expected, to this code of conduct. Failure to apply yourself to the Code of Conduct in a satisfactory manner will result in a permanent or temporary ban from the competition.

1) You will refrain from using abusive language of any kind towards your fellow competitors.
2) You will not argue on the competition thread, regardless of the nature of the disagreement.
3) You will respect your fellow competitors at all times.
4) You will not engage in any behaviour that is deemed dishonest and against the spirit of a friendly competition. This includes factionalism and bloc-voting.
5) You will contact, directly via Steam or the official AW3 Discord Server, Desert-Mammoth, if you believe you have a legitimate grievance against a fellow competitor that you wish to be looked into.
7) If in doubt of anything, contact Desert-Mammoth.
Scoring Criteria
Maps will be judged exclusively by the following criteria:

Appearance: 0 - 5

Appearance is how the map looks from an aesthetics point of view - that is to say, how easy it is on the eyes. The better looking map, the more points scored for a maximum of 5.

Technical Design: 0 - 7

Looks are not everything, and even things that look good from afar can be ugly up close. Technical design covers how well a map is put together; that is to say, how well it runs, the efficiency of object and unit usage, and the complexity of the map in general. A broad subject with a broad scoreboard.

Balance: 0 - 2

How balanced is a map, when the theme is taken into account? Is it too easy or too hard? Is one team steam rolling the other when it shouldn't be? Is the player waltzing all over the competition without breaking a sweat? Or is the player dying the moment they leave the starting area?

Custom Units: 0 - 3

Is your map using custom units? Are they a designer brand fit for the catwalk or are they as bland as shredded wheat? Are they balanced, and do they fit the map?

Thumbnail: 0 - 2

Does your thumbnail/preview image draw people in? Does it pique the interest of the curious? Is it clear? Does it convey the map’s theme and purpose?

Fun Factor: 0 - 3

Last but not least, is the map fun? Even simple maps can be an amazingly good time, and the biggest most bombastic maps the most tiring. Does your map bring smiles or yawns? Does it keep the player coming back for more, or make them regret they ever subbed to it?

A perfect map can achieve a total score of 22. The map with the most points wins that week's competition.

Errr, from my understanding I just need to be friends with the winner on Steam for 3 days in order to gift them a steam gift card, so as long as you have a steam account I don't see age being an issue.
