As an offlane Bounty Hunter you are not expected to kill your lane opponents or to farm well. You are expected to survive kill attempts and reach level 6 and then roam and get track gold for your team. Do not play agressive in lane. Do not think you are unkillable with your stealth. After level 6 try to constantly gank the enemy carry and abuse your ability to get a lot fo gold quickly by building mid game items such as desolater and drums.
