omg Half Life 3 CONFIRMED?

@Class(y) Clown What was your intro to FPSes on PC? I'm just trying to imagine how anyone can feel HL2 (or 1) is "dreadfully overrated". Tedious in places yes, but boring it is not.

I have given this game three tries already and it didn't grab me in the slightest so I have written it off now. Glad others hold it in high esteem, I just fail to see that.

Beach section might be a bit of a bore, but overall the game is excellent.

This is one game I think is dreadfully overated. Played it beack in 2004 but never got far because it bored me to tears. Tried again in 2010 and stopped at the same place (when you arrive at the beach section). Tried again in 2014 and got bored at the same place and abandoned the game at the same point.

I have now written it off as something that just has no appeal for me whatsoever.

I got a demo of Half Life with a PC magazine and I had to pick my jaw up off the ground. Again I love Half Life....I’m just saying Half Life 2 is better. The new and improved enemies, the world around you was much richer and more real. The city was such a depressing intergalactic checkpoint. You really feel like a prisoner of your own world and then bam....you get to bring the whole lot down like a boss. The guns are great, the gravity gun is a welcome addition, the puzzle solving is top notch, there are vehicles to drive, the voice acting is great. It’s just impossible for me to take the first one over this masterpiece.
